We Are Looking To Sponsor An Amatuer Drift Driver - It Could Be You!

Recommended Posts

Well we've conquered the circuit racing / sprints scene at QR (but alot of you have probably still never heard of us!) so now we want to get known by getting into the drift scene :D our workshop is located in Coorparoo.

we would like to sponsor an amateur drift driver who lives in the Brisbane area.

the driver we choose gets free labor for all servicing, mechanical repairs and performance upgrades to ensure we keep the car running for entry in drift practices and events.

in return we would require that you regularly enter and drive in drift practice events at Queensland Raceway, drive in other local drift days, and make appearances at local cruises and dyno days etc.

we would also require the car to have our workshop signage that would be similar to the following logo:

driftcarsticker.JPG

the car would need to be presentable and the driver would need to show a high level of ability.

if this sounds like something you would like to do, send me a pm and tell me a little about your car. you will need to enter your car in the Friday night drift practice at QR on Jan 18th 2008 where I will be able to check out your driving style.

seasons greetings :P

Registering to Try out for the Sponsorship

you can either register on the night by coming to see me on pit wall at the exit of turn 6 or by sending me a pm.

details I need are your Name, Car, Suburb and Mobile No.

after the Jan 18 drift night we will contact the driver and also post the selected driver in this thread.

good luck to everyone! :)

i may get down there to check it out...i was sliding a last year but stopped to rebuild the car, if you were offering this last year i would have been there straight away, if you want details on perhaps a future deal i can PM you details of the car.

who did you end up going woth peter , can't wait to see them out on track , been looking for it at all the events i've been too.

I heard only 1 person ended up going to see him on the night. Would have thought there would have been heaps which was why I didn't.... that and im only starting out.

we are still looking for someone to sponsor. I will be out at QR again this Friday night for those who are interested.

I am also interested in looking at guys competing at archerfield. anyone who is interested, send me a pm to arrange a viewing.

by the way, I competed at Morgan Park supersprints on the weekend and finished 6th in class, which wasnt a bad effort considering the competition which included 2 GT40s and an ex Carrera Cup Porsche GT3 Race Car.

well done Peter , was there any other Jap cars running ?

yes there were a couple of silvias, two or three R33s, a couple of EVOs, a couple of WRX STis, and a whole bunch of 240Z - 260Zs.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
