Oil falls from above.. So those pics are pretty useless. If it's not red, it's not power steering fluid, as the oil is dripping off the power steering rack by the looks of it.. Look higher.

Or clean the engine bay then run the car for a bit until you can see where it comes from.

There's so many places oil can leak from..

i've had a few leaks like that, it doesnt look like a huge amount but def worth checking out. front of car can either be a seal on the front diff or a gasket on the engine. had the same sorta leak on the rear, just needed diff tightened as gasket was ok.

check the colour and consistancy... last time i had a leak like this is was oily green/yellow cos it was oily i was stumped till i realised it was water leaking out my waterpump collecting oil from everywhere else so could be waterpump?

I had a bit more of a look and I can't see anything immediately obvious. My Engine bay is pretty well oil free bar in that little spot in the picture above. I felt under the oil filter and there is some oil there but nothing on top. I am just wondering if may the seal has gone on it. Although it hasn't been 5000k since I replaced it. I might have to take it back to mildren where I had it tested and say hey, my car has suddenly developed an oil leak since you tested it, what did you do to it?

Its doubtful they did anything wrong. I mean the cars pretty old right, when was the last time u changed all the gaskets and seals? Leaks happen, for the most part theyre no big deal. They dont happen often on skylines, so when they do leak its generally symptomatic of a larger problem or just a weak bolt that needs tightening.. Unless u get the car on a gantry and have a good squizzie underneath it, you're probably not gonna see much. What u can do tho, is get some degreaser and clean all the areas that have oil/residue on them, It'll make it heaps easier to spot the actual leak when it happens again..

Until a mechanic looks at it, I wouldn't worry. I had 3 simultaneous leaks and two were fixed by just tightening bolts and the last one was a cv seal on the front diff that needed replacing. Too easy

Grab the filter and turn it clockwise, looks like it may be the problem as i had the same drips when i changed the filter and spilt a bit. Also since you said it was on the bottom and not the top it has to be coming from there somewhere.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
