That is entirely the reason why my T04 turbo and external wastegate are still in the garage, and not on my car...

Suspension here I come! :P

Providing Apexia don't make a new one or something like that soon, you won't feel like an idiot... But even though it is one of the best ECUs for these cars, I am unwilling to pay that much for it...

I'm still jealous though :P

dude thats quite acceptable for a rb25 pfc. Specially considering it was via autobarn. Access Auto whom are the actual australian importer prolly couldn't do a better deal than that if they got there hands on a new one.

all other models you can pick up for the $900-$1000 mark but you will always pay more now days for a rb25 model.

yeah 1500+ is the going rate if they can even get it, looks like most of the "new" ones are repaired warranty units anyway.

its really made the choice of computer for a skyline a lot more complex, used to be a no brainer at $900 including controller

Yeah they were the good old days, I remember having them sitting on the shelf at Autobarn all the time :ermm:

Access Auto aparantally were able to get hold of a small quantity that had been manafactured in a small production run (or something) from japan. ive been waiting since the beginning of december mind u for it to get here (and harassing them once a week as to where it was).. but i been into autobarn... paid a $500 deposit (try and see them sell it to someone else now) haha... and seen it in its box so i knowwww its there.. prob the only autobarn in australia to have on right now though.. haha.. and i saw them on ebay for about $1560 (new) so i told em i wasnt going to pay much more for it than that... Access Auto aparantally got a big shipment of crap.. dunno how many power fc's were in that order but i got the impression there was a few. I also bought a GT3037 Pro S full bolt on ki with a 0.68 rear.. for $3450? i think it was.. :ermm: should be a good combination.. got 245's on the rear.. hope it doesnt fry them to bad :P haha... (i didnt wanna pay that much considering a year ago they were around $1000) however... an item is worth what someone is willing to pay for it... and the less of them around, the harder they are to get so the more you pay if u want one.. i didnt really want a 2nd hand one with someones map already tuned in there.. (going to baby it for a lil while) dont get license back till october.. so i still need AFM Splitfire coils and injectors... nearly there though. :(

Have a look at linkecu.com and in particular the G3 model which is exceptional value for money. Its downfall is 4 ignition drivers, however im going to fix that with a 3 channel ignitor and running wasted spark which fixes the coil problem also.

I paid 115NZ for 3 brand new Mitsi evo coils + leads say 80 = 200

153 AU for the 3 channel amp

1269 AU for the computer with a Plug in RB loom

1623 for a computer of those specs and a much better ignition system! Sounds like a good idea to me, and thats coming from someone who use to swear by power fc's. You can run it in a wasted spark mode as is but i wouldnt do it.

no its pretty reasonable the aus delivered PFC"s were always a good $500 higher than then jap delivered ones

this was because it carries an australian backed warranty so the extra cost is there - they were $1500 even when normal PFC supply was there

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
