Pacific International Suites-Parramatta

has anyopne heard of this place ?

any feed back would be appreciated

dunno the place.. but on the plus side.. its close to where the dyno day is.. other hand its far away from the city.. but not too bad as there is a train station at parramatta that gets you to the city pretty fast..

Parramatta is Sydney's second biggest CBD outside the Sydney city CBD itself, and just about everything you'll need is in or around there. It's only around 10-15mins drive from where the Dyno Day is being held.

Like Sam said, there's a train station about 3mins walk away from the hotel you mentioned, and the train will take you anywhere around Sydney, with fast trains taking around 35mins to get into Sydney city itself. The hotel is pretty much right in the heart of Parramatta, and there's a MASSIVE Westfields shopping centre (was, and might still be, the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere) right nearby.

If you're here on holidays, stay in the city :teehee:

Self contained apartments would be the way to go :(

I'm with Steve-o, I'd stay in the city and for two weeks, you will appreciate self contained apartments for space and being able to make your own breakfast etc. They usually have washing machines and clothes dryers etc as well as everything you need in the way of utensils to cook with.

Lonely Planets "Thorn Tree Forum" is a travellers bible.

There are hundreds of threads giving peoples experience of different hotels etc and this link is one of the more recent hotel questions asked.

http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thre...0&tstart=15

I think they are right in saying you will get better priced hotels around Chinatown/Haymarket/Central (train) Station and more restaurants/markets etc. There used to be a yuppie backpackers around Central Station if I remember correctly (I don't live there). But, there are reasonable self contained apartments that weren't too bad value (although none come to mind).

How long are you in oz? Are you planning on getting out of Sydney? Barrier Reef? Other?

I found this link to hotels on Thorn Tree too http://hotels.lonelyplanet.com/hotel/New-S...dney-R2108.html

joe, you need to come into the VIC section. I'm moving back to melbourne in a couple of weeks too.

Whereabouts in melb are ya? We have meetups pretty regularly in VIC.

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
