Please tell me the Hollinger Box for this is gonna be Sequential..with air shift and steering column paddles

The sarcasm came through loud and clear.

You have to remember they don't have sarcasm in Japan. :w00t:

Very nice Roy :w00t:

Russ the Extra R32 (lol) and the R33, are they your daily drivers or future projects?

hi Ryan

the 32 is just a labour of love! been slowly doing it up for a couple of years. nearly finished now, new set of wheels for it and change the bonnet to go.

the 33 has been a project we started about three years ago and have had no time to finish, it's a pure race car sports sedan, should go well , it's waiting for some dyno time in the next two weeks and the some testing, trying to bring it to superlap to puton display. it should be fun to drive, monster cams, hks t51, dry sumped , ppg box etc etc!!

Well, as you can see there's a ruddy great hole in the floor where the muffler box will go. The driver's side seat rails have been lowered, the cage is done, the rear firewall is done, some groovy sh*t is happenin where there's normally a dashboard, there's something real funky goin on with the radiator support panel (have you been up late watchin V8 S/C?).

All was going swimmingly until I leaned inside to have a closer look and it fell of the rotiserrie!! :w00t:

hahah i shit myself when it moved on me too!!

cool , so he doin the radiator area too now, he must be into it! should make it easy to pull out the driveline hopefully.

was the fuel cell in the boot?

Haha, yeh exactly, and of course it didn't actually fall of, but a little pellet came out when it moved....

He hadn't actually started at the front, but I could tell he was thinking about starting because he was quite angry.

I saw the fuel cell, wasn't in at that stage though mate :)

yep, but im debating on how to do it. In another 32 we just bent up some sheet metal to fit over the area. In this one im thinking of removing the complete parcel shelf and then making one from scratch and set it back towards the window more. if i do it this way then i will have to either make new hindges for the boot or just have it removable and i would like to keep the rear wiper.

Just interested to see how other people have done theirs and what it looks like.

Cheers

Ross

Cant wait to see it, I have a little soft spot for the big girls (R33’s I mean lol)

Ok, I'll get a pic next time I wander over there..... assuming Giant has no problem with sharing the image?? Giant?

Sorry Marlin i should say that i was directing that at Russ but if he doesnt mind you doing it that would be great.

No stress if you can not

Cheers

Ross

no drama ross, marlin is alot closer to the car than me.

the r34 rear firewalls are very different to r32 , so the mod thats been done basically makes it look like an r32 to now!!, r34's have quite an amount of tin work around the strut tops and parcel tray. that has all been removed and sealed off & strengthened.

cheers russ

hey ryan a few ppl have seen the r33 already, alot of it was done before i bought it, mind you we have mad many changes since then!!

here's a few pics , cant wait for it to tear the track up and set it up, it's on full slicks.

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
