yay for SAPOL

-1 for these types of comments, if the cops are out defecting them this week then they are going to be out defecting us this week, cops should only be doing defects when allerted to bad behaviour etc not because they see a gathering in a car park

come on guys get it together

Hot lookin midnight purple 33gtr, white rims, plates RBR 026 or similar, on main north road bout 11ish,

Yeah thats Mark, His my neighbour. His got the white nismo rims. crazy gtr.. cleaniest one ive seen in adelaide!

Sat night on the way home from Lukes birthday i spotted a black 32 GTR and a gunmetal 32 GTS-t.

The 32 had SAU stickers on it and the GTR had custom plates doing stupid stuff all the way down west terrace and anzac highway.

I would just like to say nice promoting of SAU you are both tools and you might want to take the SAU stickers off of the CAR if you are going to drive like you did.

dude , chill out .

pretty sure this thread is for spotting car's , not spotting cars and what they were doing.

Seeing as we're trying to keep our good reputation that we're not hoons, I think its a good idea to name and shame these tools ruining it for the rest of us. Maybe even ban them for a week or so. Maybe that might straighten afew of them up

Driving in a straight line doing the speed limit isnt hooning iirc...

this is rck we are talking about, its not like they stumbled across them..

doesnt make it right though buddy,if they take that attitude we have already lost our battle, not saying some car clubs dont deserve a good looking over, just rekon that the battle with the cops doesnt just start with us,it needs to be combined all over which is the battle we face, hoons are hoons no matter what car they are driving

Yeah I am considering doing this. It reflects badly on ALL OF US. What do you think the other cars around will think after they see d!ckheads out on a Saturday night racing with SAU stickers on, then see my car with an SAU sticker - I get put in the same boat.

Racing/hooning on public roads is just plain stupid, and people should learn the lesson the WRX driver learnt a little while back. You just never know when something is going to jump out in front of you, or road conditions change quickly.

And Damage, you said:

But - would you have driven exactly the same with a cop car sitting behind you? How quickly did you reach the speed limit? If the answer is no (or quickly), then it clearly wasn't appropriate driving for the road.

Also spotted a white 33 going down Elizabeth road. Got a wave! Anyone on here? Very nice 33 - sounded nice.

Possibly me man, I remember giving a wave to a white 32 GTR doing a U turn on Morton rd, that u?

Silver R32 GTS and a black R32 GTR, plus a mad looking Gemmi, parked around the corner from my place. Stopped and said gday, nice people, saw an SAU sticker on the GTS.

Mike

Saw Adrian in the falcon last night down at westlakes along with Ryan and Isaac 5 minutes after. Those GTR rims look f**king mint man!

GT-R rims on a Falcon?? Did I read that right?? It's possible, theoretically, would love to see pics...

He said they were doing stupid shit down West Terrace and Anzacs? Stupid shit wouldn't be driving the speed limit would it?

Might ask Adrian if hes done it, but I doubt it.

lol Chef that would be classy, however the GTR rims are on Isaacs 33.

Co-rrect.

hey chronic, u sure ur not mistaking Morton rd for Elizabeth rd :)

na i wasn't down Elizabeth, went via Morton rd to go to collanades yesterday prolly around 2ish

Ah yep, I am! haha I keep thinking it's Elizabeth road! But it's Morton road. Yep, that was me in the GTR! I was off to Colonades, too!

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
