Screw the gtr, the new falcon is to be revealed at the auto show

:P Always wonder why you are on this forum? :P

motorshow should be good this year

with new gtr and i belive the evo 10 to

Ah yeah new EVO 10. Another car worth seeing.

I'm considering the new 'orian' XR6T as my next car, thus why the cars aesthetics is crucial for me.

270kw, 6 speed german zf auto, all in stock form... its bad ass :P

Right I see.

So you selling ya Skyline or...? Do have a Skyline? Just for interest sake... :P

stuf u man, appreciate some of your own countries design & engineering :P

this looks sex, could be a fairmont

err...I like Fords.

but that looks way too much like a holden. the black strips on the roof, the door handles, very holden.

indeed, a 33.. like everybody else :D

Yeah right I see. Guess what I was trying to get at is that you like both but cuz its a Skyline forum and ppl make fun of Fords LOL! U must get annoyed and make fun of the Skylines.

Ah its all cool. I talk to a guy who loves HSV but he can appriciate all types of cars. You would figure that me having a GTR and talking to someone with a HSV = :teehee: but everyone is entitled to their own likes.

BTW did you see when Ford bought out the new Ford Cobra? Seriously they could have done way better. That was basicaly slapping on a Cobra badge on a Falcon. :)

Cobras were pure 2 door, like 1 / 2 seater classic all American muscle cars. They should just re-release the orginal.

Like what Holden were trying to do. They did an "Artist" impression of the Peter Brock HDT Commodores - the new generation http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleD...ArticleID=43923

Atleast they could have just re-released the original, it just looks like a big fatty LOL!

I will be there on trade day, can't wait. it will be a very exciting event with a lot of new reveals from local manufacturers. All I can say it that us (holden) will have quite a suprise for people and will take away some of the attention of the new falcon reveal :ninja:

a bit off topic i know, but which subaru you working for?

wat do u mean wich subaru? lol

My mate has informed me that a work shop here in aust is already working on compliance for the new GTR and should hopefully be able to import them for road use later this year. My mate does tend to be pretty reliable with these things, but we will just have to wait and see, as I know Nissan australia will have something to say about it.

I dont think u can get compliance for cars that will be released in Australia. I read in High Performace Imports Magazine today that the GTR is set to be relased to Australian roads in 2010.

LoL dude get off the Skyline forums

You will be able to get the early models that are on sale in Japan now, but not the models that are going to be sold at the same time as Nissan will release in Australia. eg..early S15 models etc.

I actually know of a few workshops that currently undergoing testing for SEVS approvals on this model.

But at the moment they may only be bought in for Race purposes.. :)

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
