I just visited the RTA and was absolutely ass pumped at the end of this lenghty process. I was slugged with an additional $660 charge. Total rego only cost was $1070. This was in sydney. Dose this sound right ? How much is everyone else paying ??

Really? Is this for a newly-rego'd car? If it is, I can't help you, sorry - I bought my car from an owner who lives in NSW already too.

Ouch

Yep, NSW rules are very different.

Just one of the differences: we need to do roadworthy tests every year unless you buy a brand new car, in which case you're exempt for the first 3 years.

Rego? Or stamp duty? Inspection fees? Number plate cost?

    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together

That said, some days you'll just never beat genetics, but 99% of the time dogs chasing cats is purely lack of socialisation, and then the chasing part can turn into prey drive.
