Well I didnt have much luck. With the warmer weather and the stock intercooler I couldnt run 0.8bar of boost effectively. My fastest run of the day netted me the same result from my last day at the drags another 14.8 with the boost turned down to 0.6bar. Time to browse the Trust catalogue for a better intercooler and some sort of new engine management I think. The car was launching much better with the lock kit though, its a bit annoying though as I know the car is quicker because at night when its much colder at 0.8bar the car pulls strongly to 6500rpm, today with 0.8bar I had to keep shifting between 5500 and 6000rpm because the power was tailing off... damn heat! Either that or my car's a lemon :(

I know what you're thinking, and no, its not Myaree Dyno :P

Got it tuned at Barrys Dyno.

adam 32, no need to prove anything, the terminal speed shows the true potential of the car. Besides, 12psi will make you harder to catch at the next cruise :(

rob77, the factory tune on the r33 ecu is junk. Put fuel control at the top of your list, you won't be sorry.

Yup, black r33 stock rims and body, nice 3.25" cat back system with the muffler on a angle and a tip big enough to stick your head in :( The only other mods are a blitz air filter element, apexi twin chamber bov (which I'm thinking of ditching cos I think its causing my problems), blitz dual sbc type s boost controller. I was hoping on at least a low 14, possibly a high 13, but the gremlins re-appeared. My terminal speed was 96.05mph or 154.57kmh at 0.6bar, so with a stronger clutch and harder launch, I dont see why I cant run a low 14 at least.

Adam32 read my post, I run 0.8bar of boost and it's fine at night, the car pulls hard all the way to the 7200rpm limiter, but for some reason today be it heatsoak or something else is ****ed in the car, it was loosing power if I went past 5500rpm. I'm sure if I went out now and took it for a drive, it'd pull fine to 7200rpm. *shrug* beats me, everytime I go to the drags something ****s up.

So I take it the blitz element is in a stock unmodified airbox? Or have you hacked the airbox to include a cold air intake?

The stock airbox is an unbelievably huge restriction in R33 GTS25ts, the GTR design is much better.

Only did 6 runs as I was stupidly consistant, here they are in order:

13.989 @ 167.24

13.112 @ 163.47

13.038 @ 168.41

13.080 @ 164.95

13.073 @ 161.64

13.093 @ 168.41

As Troy said today there was a bee's dick to a 12 for me today, I wont be going back until I get a new clutch and make sure I dont have 50L of fuel onboard like I did today...........and maybe flogg some race rubber off Ken???:( pretty please??

Cheers.

Ben: Yeah man, i think you were too busy liftin the bonnet of your beast in the pit lanes to realise i was runnin around...

    • Jack the back of the car up, pull that wheel off, pull that sensor out, and put a bore scope into the hole to inspect the outer casing, see if anything looks damaged before you pull the whole thing apart.
    • Ergh... So I pulled the speed sensor out again and the tip was shiny so I think it's rubbing the bearing. The bearing contains the magnets for the speed sensor so I think when the first sensor broke it damaged the magnet ring on the bearing.  This is just a Google image, but there is a hole going to the bearing. So when the tip broke off the old sensor I'm guessing it fouled the bearing... As the magnet is only protected by a plastic cover it would be easy to damage it. So I guess I'm doing a bearing again.
    • My thinking is that if the O2 sensor is shot then your entire above described experience is pure placebo.
    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
