Coming along nicely......be good to see it finished.....

Looking good! You're not wasting any time, are you? Post more pics as you go along: it is a lovely looking car, and you'll LOVE the manual!

Nope, i work on the car every day from 08.00 untill 18.00.

All the piping to the Intercooler will be polished alu pipes, and the same for the pipe from turbo to airfilter.

I will post more pictures later today, right now it is 07 i the morning here in Denmark, and i will start working again at 8 o'clock.

When the car i finished, i will make a little video, and show you guys downunder, some danish smoke.

Like I said: you're not wasting any time! Very impressive: when do you expect/hope to have it back on the road?? At this rate, it sounds like you'll only need another 45 minutes!

when do you expect/hope to have it back on the road??

Hopefully in 2-3 days, then i will put it on the dyno at 0.6 bar, to see the output, the goal is 500+ whp at 1,2 bar, is that not possible, bigger turbine, injectors and another ECU.

What's the Stagea head-count in Denmark roughly? Are they everywhere or are they super rare?

Love what you're doing too. :D

This is the only one in Denmark, as far as i know, is there only 3-4 i Europe.

Thx, sound and more pictures will be posted tomorrow, forgot my camera at the workshop.

hows that for exclusivity... what are the rules for bringing a japanese import to denmark? ours are pretty strict, you cant just bring anything in, and when you do bring a car in, it costs about $3000 worth of work before the government says its safe to drive on our roads.

Maybe if our roads werent so shit it wouldnt be a problem.... [/rant]

When we import a car from Japan, we have to pay 180% in tax, on top of the price for the car, that really suxxxs.

Thats why we only have old cars in denmark.

I payed 45.000 AUD for for my Stag, with a RB25DE engine year 98, what will this car cost i Australia.!!

A BMW 320 new model, will cost 100.000 AUD, whats the price downunder.!!

The RB25DE is too shit to bring into Australia. You can only import the turbo models.

But for 45,000AUD you would get a full bombed off the dick 400awkw+ 260RS.

A base model 320i with no options here is about 55,000AUD + on road costs (registration, tax etc). Maybe 63,000AUD all up.

For 100,000AUD you buy like a 335i or similar.

wow you guys really get the short end of the stick.... I got change from 23k from start to finish including new tyres and rego and i have an immaculate 97 260RS.... (well i havent seen it yet but err yeah.... haha)

Hey guys.

It is up and running right now, it started firste time we turned the key, and it sounds like a million hp, i will think it have around 300-320 hp at 0.5 bars boost, i have tryed to upload a video at youtybe, but without luck, video vil be added later.

We have adjusted the ignition, fuel, airflow, and it have the right amoung off fuel, when we boost, or cruising, new Apexi ECU will be attached sone, and bigger injectors, bigger fuel-pump, the i hope for 550 hp at 1,2 bar, it shut be possible.

Is it possible to upload a video, 10,2 mb at this site.!!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
