guys, FYI, this is an extract from the "For Sale" GUIDELINES posted by BLITZ

In particular, read #1 & 2 cause you're all at risk of a warning or ban at the moment.

Buyers

Recently, moderaters have been deleting too many stupid posts in the for sale section and as such, the following now apply:

1. Absolutely no "Free Bumps" or "Nice car wish I could afford it" comments - If you like what you see and you wish to compliment the seller, send them a pm smile.gif

Only post on the thread if you have a genuine question or are genuinely interested in the items being offered for sale

2. No price debates - put simply if you do not agree with the price being asked, do not comment on the thread. If you believe the seller is asking too much then either pm the thread starter or dont buy the items advertised - simple.

There is to be no "My cousin can get it for much less" or "Your asking too much" comments

Again comments such as the above will be deleted and if users persist in posting such comments, a warning will be issued

3. Lastly, in light of recent dodgy traders that have popped up, if you see a user or thread that you think is suspicious, pm a moderator or report the post immediately!! - Dont start throwing accusations around. Anyone that bad mouths any trader without proof will also be issued with a warning

Thanks for sticking up for me Andrew, this is why I just want to get this thread closed.. people just flame and flame.. never do it themselves and give me crap for what I do and try to share with others...

and satanic.... the prices were also high because each part was going to be measured and fit to suit the car.. ie.. what we did with mine, cardboard cutout for measurement for each part so that it would fit togther and be as strong as mine.

crap like your saying get some piece of sh*ty aluminium to hold the pod in place or not have it at all... these are skylines, not bloody excels... this is the reason why cops like my setup... it is sturdy... non of this tinsnip crap and aluminum sheet...

Im really sick of the smart asses on here who think they are know it alls, therefore I request that:

ADMINS PLEASE REMOVE/CLOSE THIS THREAD, I HAVE HAD ENOUGH.

I have had enough stupid comments come into my inbox about this thread and people replying in it.. I only put this up to help others, charged a slightly higher price then what was expected because each part would be customised for each car.

Obveously most people on here prefer tin snip jobs and defects for crappy parts or to just make nasty comments towards me.

ONCE AGAIN, PLEASE REMOVE THIS ENTIRE THREAD

Adam

Any chance you can make up the Cold Air Box without the rest for a 32 gtr for the 200ish? I can make the air intakes up easy enough and have pod mounting brackets, it´s 2 hks pods standed afm´s etc, i had a go at making one up once out of metal but gave up because i suck at measuring and cutting

The brackets overpriced and the air intake is a bit too much but the box seems good value for money

Also wtf is with tossers and posting up stuff dissing peoples works, he´s not saying it´s awesome value for money he´s just covering costs making a bit of profit and using some time and effort, geez

Hey mate,

Im sorry. unfortunetly I am not going down this avenue any more, to many headaches.

I am still wondering why this hasent been locked yet to be honest.

Yeah nice work dude, i appricaite your creativity, unlike some other peoples cristism,, its ridiculous, every1 was saying to same shit, 1 person said and you responded to it, why cant people just read instead of having to put negative feedback on a fellow sau member.,

  • 1 year later...

its a good idea man, im keen to try it this weekend actually :)

i dont know why people are being spastics about the price, its not like his saying"please dont DIY and give me $500 ill do it for you"

if you dont like the idea or price fair enough but no need to be an ass about it...

WYTSKY i think its just jealousy mate

anyway on a different note if i have a stock smic is this still practical?

cheers

+1 for a top effort and a good looking end result. altho never try sell anything for any amount of money on forums cos people will always say it costs too much.

-1 for all you givin him stick about it. he stated from the first post you could DIY. All negative comments should have ended there.

Thats my 2c

Haha $500 bucks is nothing with some of the intake setups you want on say....an r34 gtr. There's always petty criticism on here because knob jockeys think they feel better about themselves. He purely mentioned about a DIY so you can do it f**king yourself. Adam, awesome effort and ignore the haters on this forum.

Just my 2c......

Leave the stock air box nothing wrong with it. I made my own pod a intake box and received a canary so basically you paying $1 or $1000 on a product that's going to give you problems from the cops.

Btw no offense but I don't think it worth it, save your Money for something thats worth it like power gain turbo injectors ecu upgrade ect

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
