[group Buy] Acpt Carbon Fibre Tailshafts Any Model! $1400us

Recommended Posts

its the 1000ft/lbs model for a 34 GTR which works out to be 1350NM most 300/350awkw GTR's have around half this amount of torque so probably a bit overkill to go the 2000ft/lbs model unless you have a 8-9 sec drag GTR . Have weighed it on the bathroom scales at around 7kg but will weigh it on the industrial digital scales tomorrow at work and then weight the standard item on the same scales when i fit it would be interesting to get any of the 2000ft/lbs models weighed and see the difference

yeah I think the 1000ft/lb one is the go. no way you are going to put 2000ft/lb through a GTR driveline. go for the lightest one. and even better it's cheaper! though I guess this sterling advice comes a bit late for you chaps... :) glad to see you all got there in the end. :D

Hey Richo,

I got the 2000lb/ft one as its not flywheel torque. I beleive you multiply by the gearbox drive ratio to see what torque is actually applied to the shaft. 1st gear, drag launch could be quite high!!! ?

any closet neards want to expand? lol

:(

Kith Kowie's case was " I had to give them the torque my engine puts out plus the final drive and all the os giken gear ratios.

I think it worked out at about 2800 lbs so we are well under 4000 lbs" (His manufacturer is rated to 4000lbs)

yeah they were sent direct via fedex express. So you should have it within the next day or so. I can try go thru the tracking untill i find yours. That is if they are running tracking numbers. Give me a bit and i'll see.

Looks like they are random generated.. you were 10 from me in the list i sent, r32's r33's and r34's 10 numbers up from my tracking doesnt exist nor do any numbers around my tracking number so its random by the looks of things..

Can everyone let me know how we are going? who has and who hasnt i will try get some tracking numbers for guys who have not.

Cheers

Andrew

Isnt W.a another country?? hehe god damn 4 hours behind shit!!

i'm right on top of the tracking number thing! so hopefully we will have the whereabouts of them shortly.....

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
