i htink it was sometime in 2004

how do you know its series 2?

the interior is a massive giveaway as it has a totally different dash

other differences are subtle including tail lights, headlights, front bumper on some of them

post a pic of the one you're lookign at and we can tell you

this is a series 2:

sedan of course but the dash will be the key point. early ones have a different dash and layout. in my case the S2 is easier to work on.

confirmed series2: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&id=147689

2003 coupe dashboard: http://liveimages.carsales.com.au/dealer/c...int/9059039.jpg

with the 2003 image: is it series1? the difference I see between the 2 are the buttons in the middle are colored silver for the 2003 and black for the confirmed series2. and the controls for the aircon seems different as well.

maybe there's more to it?

thanks again :)

coupe is a series 1. easiest way to tell w/ the auto is the shifter. series 2 is just 1 column from park all the way to the gears. for series one, you have to push to the left (or right) to access the semi-auto feature, basically the + and (-) representing upshift or downshift. haven't figured out the quickest way to spot series 2 for the manual though. the quality of the silver lining on the dash has improved on the later models but a bit hard to tell just by looking at the pictures.

I believe,

S1 Bose stereo is CD/Tape, S2 is CD/MD (with the aluminium surround as shown in above pics)

Also S2 has the intelligent key & keyless ignition with buttons on the passenger and driver side to lock/unlock doors.

Mine is a 12/04 series 2 which I believe is the earliest of the s2 models.

I recon the easiest way to tell is the instrumentation panel. Series 1 has the speedo to the left while Series 2 has the speedo to the right. Also the gearstick is different for an auto version. Everything else can be a little bit subjective depending on wear and tear.

    • I'm selling my brand new, in the box, never used Hypergear ATR45 - and I had some additions I paid for a few yrs back when I purchased it. Never ended up having the rest of the money to add all the mods at once, so I just ended up slowly selling each part. I originally had it internally gated, with the dump pipe, however I found it was incompatible with what I was going to use it for, so I contacted (I think Ken) from Hypergear, and he and I messaged back and forth & he got me to ship the turbo back, where they modified it & made it externally gated, and gave me the 5 bolt dump pipe attachment for custom welding. (Photos below) This turbo like I said has never touched the inside of an engine bay, it's completely brand new, never used, been sitting in the same box it arrived in, covered in plastic & all. Below are the photos of it: And while the guys at Hypergear were making it in-shop, they sent me some photos of the process: I'm looking at selling this just because I'm in need of the money right now, and don't have plans on modifying the 34 anytime soon - and from reviews & peformance sheets, this turbo had amazing results back when I was researching. The turbo was purchased in 2018 for $1.9k, with the mods I got added on. Looking at the website now, for the same turbo they sell (ATR45SAT), with the current addons it adds up to $1830 for the turbo Current addons included: - Bolted dump adaptor - Ball bearing CHRA - Braided oil feeding line So I'm looking to possibly sell it for around $1800, with shipping included in that 1.8k, It cost me around $120 to ship - so yeah thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone was interested in purchasing. Cheers!
