Removing Rear Wipers

have anyone done this b4?

i want to remove the rear wiper for the 34.

how do u remove it and also seal it?

I'm not sure about the 34, but on the 33 the wiper assembly came up through the glass. When you remove it, it'll leave a large hole in the glass which you cant patch up without making it look stupid, which ruins the look that you were going for in the first place. You can get a sheet of glass custom made, but it will cost WAY too much and isnt really worth it. Just get used to it, they are surprisingly useful. There was something about it in the General Maintanence forum, have a look in there a few pages in.

You just remove it from inside your boot up on the parcel shelf. Just a couple of 10mm bolts on the inside, and a 10mm bolt on the wiper arm itself.

On my R33 i just covered the whole using a rubber gromet i got from clark rubber, which sealed it perfectly and actually looks quite good.

Some ppl remove just the wiper itself but leave the rotating mechanisiem on so there is no hole in the rear windscreen.

from a practical view, they work great! much better rear vision in the rain
