Hello,

have to change exhuats manifold, the one i have at the moment is just shite to be honest lol.

I know the 6boost manifolds are very very good, but just so expensive and not sure if i can afford. Besides the ebay manifolds, what else is out there under say $500? XForce or something i think have one but cant find any information on them!

And to people that do have the ebay manifolds, are they any good? It will be holding up a GT30/40 ...

I tried doing the research on my own lol but dont wanna rush into buying a manifold like the last one i have and have it turning out to be a hunk of shit.

Cheers guys,

Matt.

How much power are you looking at making. IMO the best setup for a street car is the stock manifold, as many have found, they only become restrictive above 320rwkw, which is about the most power you would practically want in a 2wd street car.

ive got a manifold for sale and its perfect for wat u want

- CNC machined flanges

- 6 into 1 merge collector

- made from steam pipe

- life time warranty

- T3 turbo flange

- RB25 engine flange

i havn't personally done the upgrade but from feedback i've seen and pics of the qulaity i'd go with ETM.. they are around $1200 and sexy as all hell... also high mount which IMO are the shiznit in sex appeal!

ETM for the win.

and just so you know a r33 gtst running 320 rwkws on a stock manifold.

change over to a ETM and you will gain around 30kws and pick up around 400rpm in spool time.

you mentioned you have been stung before with a crappy manifold so why risk it again.

ETM are gaurenteed for life to never crack or warp so just get one and never look back.

Go the HKS cast if you can find one...With big turbo though clearance of engine mount can be an issue...The one I bought came with T04Z and modded engine mount...it was out of R33 front cut though so it will fit but need to mod the engine mount.. More work but so is changing cracked ebay ones....

Btw running rb30 bottom end fixes clearance problem...Just one more of the 10,000 benefits of the RB30DET....

I believe it is $1200 for a twin pulse flange or $1000 for a single pulse flange... I'm pretty sure I paid $1000

How long till your looking at doing all this? I'll be going down to my mechanic and can get a good shot of my ETM manifold.. this is one but doesn't show it very well..

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
