Braided Oil Lines For Gtr Twin Turbos?

mate Enzed etc is your friend. i used teflon braided -4 lines with plenty of heat unsulation and 200 series fittings, but only because mine is an RB30 block and the stock lines don't work well. stick with the hard lines if you can, less stuffing around, $ and no problems with heat in the long run. i would've if i could've.

Most people stick with factory lines as they are by FAR the best for the purpose.

Its going to be $$$ and a pain to get fittings down there when there is factory stuff that bolts on and can resist the heat

is that -4 for both oil and water?

from the ones i've seen its been -4 oil and -6 water :down:

braided lines rock, ive got a braided line to my turbo, and my water lines have been chopped, expanded and had hoses clamped to them. as long as theyre properly insulated theyre great.

mine have made pulling the turbo out a 45min job and installing a 1hr job. the worst thing EVER is trying to get the standard water and oil lines to line up when going back on.

take it to pirtek and ask them for the lengths you need, and the fittings (i reccomend just going from the banjos if possible). then take the fittings and hose home and dummy fit to get the angles you need on the banjos, then mark them or tape them up. go back to pirtek and get them swaged on and your done. saves swivel joints and removes one more thing to go wrong.

also, be aware that while pirtek guys are really switched on, they may or may not have heard of earl's fittings etc, which is why its easier to go from the banjo.

cost a bit but you will never have a problem again.

I dont know of too many things i do in 1/2 measures...its either boots and all...or not at all.

check full feature of the car in this months HPI magazine and im sure you will agree.

is this an alright price for all the lines?? just over 300 i suspect.

      Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch.       A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
