but jim's racing with Mezara, so he's got no chance :)

JPM for the F1 title. He manageged to drive alongside MS thru the first chicane at Monza. Would MS show the same sense if punting someone off would win him the title?

I never really liked Longhurst until he decided to try and knock Morris's head off, for which i award him the big :D

So hes alright in my book:D ... even if he does seem to get thrown out of every team he has driven for after one season, maybe he should go and setup his own team again.:(

Montoya for F1 championship cauz Shuey is a bit of a tool, (if u can remember back to the Damon Hill days).

DIDO... Skaife for bathurst, or perhaps Lowndes/Seton, and go the Williams, next to Jordan they are the biggest employer of Aus engineers in F1

Hat goes off to MS, looks like he has it in the bag with the last round being at Suzuka, but you never can tell.

I have to say last night was one of the most entertaining races i have seen in a while. I almost woke everyone in the house when Weber went off. NOOOO!!!

If your a team owner and you have a guy that is genuinely leading a race, (ie after pitstop would still be in lead, if not 2nd) then if its pissing down rain why do you bring the teamate in first for wets, only to leave in this case Weber to slide off into the wall on slicks?

The rain/weather looked to suit the Jaguars, if only he had lasted one more lap he could have finished 3rd instead of Frentzen, if not better.

Yeah it was a good race, at first, wasn;t it, almost worth waking up for :D

as always though, there was so much luck involved in tyre choice in the wet - it worked for schumaker but totally stuffed up montoya.

And with Weber, he has always seemed pretty confident with wet track, he may well have told the team he was OK (as DC must have). Pretty brave call on a track with such a quick section....

I think DC was the guinea pig for Mclaren and Raikkonen, the minute DC radiod back that slicks would do the job, Raikkonen would come in.

I have a video soemwhere of Weber in the his first and only year in Formula Ford in Aus, the race is at Phillip Island in the pooring rain, and he won by a huge margin, somehting like 35 seconds in FF for gods sake.

Came from like 4th on the grid too because of dry qualifying, it seems he has a feel for the slippery conditions!

i did not want to hear that. aaargh i'm so pissed today. i set the video on channel 9. :D

Channel 9 ...old habits die hard

I was about to start recording when i saw the rain come down after the leaders had already done their first stop and Weber inherited the lead just about as he was to do his first stop. As the others had to pit twice within 4-5 laps for wets i started to get a sniff that this could be Webers first race win. Just as i was grabbing a tape, Weber hit the barrier... oh well.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow

    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
