As requested........ let me know if you want it, i can possibly ask my mate if he'd fix it too if your interested.

there is no lip

and you can have the spiders too!

That'd be great Angus. If your mate can fix it even better. Happy to sling a few slabs around for the effort. Pretty sure I have a lower lip lying around.

nah mark! no arguments here mate... always like to throw up ideas, i am no expert so watch on with interest

you boys look like your making great headway!! keep it up , great job

i have to keep berry away from this thread or he will go off about me making him work on the r35 instead of his car! lol

Hey Russ, you had Mahle pistons in your 32 correct??

is there any secrets or tricks to using them/for the build??

Bad timing, i spoke to his misses and he is over seas for 2-3 weeks.

still want?

Yes please, I have someone else who can rubber/plastic weld.

When's a good time and where about's are you. I'm away until Friday.

What can I throw your way for the pleasure of taking it off your hands?

Thanks,

Angus,

Just had a thought. Going to machine up a couple of allow steering wheel linkages on the weekend, how does one of these sound. You can probably see one on one of Duncan's previous pictures, they replace the standard rubber steel one that links the steering wheel arm to the steering rack.

I'm going to whoreeeeeeee for a second or two....

I'm done whoring, now all i need is pistons and rods and i can build this damn thing!!!

Are these new turbo water and oil lines. If so, they are a really, really, really good idea. I have had to destroy a standard set on at least 3 occasions because the fittings wouldn't turn on the pipe and it ended up just twisting the pipe up until the metal fatigued and ripped itself apart. A real pain in the ass, not only because they needed to be replaced but because it's a bitch to get your hand and a spanner in there in the first place, then you have to turn hard enough to rip the pipes apart.

What's in the box under the VRS kit?

ahh sweet that would be great :O

Yeah all the turbo and water return lines there! from hose solutions on ebay all up around 350 aussie delivered ;)

that sounds similar to the way i pull things apart hahaha.

big black box is a nismo full engine gasket kit with a 1.2mm metal gasket too. i had some presents arrive this morning!

what do you think about the quality of the lines. we need a set too, and these are hard to beat at the price (about 1/2 what pirtek charge for the same) let us know if they fit ok.

ebay, they are from the uk they look nice.. haha dont think they will be getting fitted for a few months now

http://myworld.ebay.com.au/hose_solutions this guy is the one.

tho they did take some time to arrive i think around a month..

Ask Norm, Mr r32 how they fit.

i can make you custom speedflow lines for around that price.

A question about Sump/Baffle

So i bought the tomei baffle, now i'm thinking why on earth i did this.

i wouldn't mind extending the sump but not making it go any lower like most other extensions, is this possible? and still use the tomei baffle?

interesting question. we are running the tomei style baffle in this car's motor too (although we got the much cheaper one from Just Jap), and the sump is wider but not deeper. remind me to post some pics next weekend

we normally run the trust (deep) sump, and I had spent years telling people yes they hang low but no you don't damage them. which was true until I smashed mine on a ripple strip at oran park earlier this year and cracked it in 3 places.

still, I've had it welded up and am going to put it back on - I like the deep design to keep oil near the pickup

Yes it is possible to still run the Tomei baffle with a sump extension.

Why would you want a 6 inch blond when there are so many nicer 6 foot ones?

Who does the braided clutch lines? and what is the benefit of fitting? Thanks

    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
