I just wanted to give your thread a free bump and couldn't believe my eyes!!!

Well done for getting this sort of thing off the ground, hope it all works out and I see you have caught the bug! Wish this sort of thing was happening when I had my 180sx..way back when *cues memory music* :miner:

Hope to see your GTR soon and that I can join you guys on the track.I will do it one day make the big road trip over in my GTR and can join in on a track day!!

looks like we have to complete the drive to survive course before we can attend the high performace one... is this the case heslo??

No, they usually ask if you've had track experience but they don't mind if you haven't.

Well that was when I did it anyway.

No, you don't have to complete that course, they ask at the beginning if you are a competent driver in the hills, if so, then all is good.

Yes I am still planning this, currently in correspondence with them, will keep you updated once I get more firm info ;)

That's just how much this mob charges, I did this last year and know from experience what its like, you are more than welcome to contact the KPM boys, see who they used and then we can go from there if you wish

Is this still going ahead? get my licence back in a week so... Does it matter if your on your P's? Also depends on dates as i have a few minor things to fix on the car.. Novemberish would be nice lol

As I said in my above post, I'm in contact with them and when I have further info I will post up...

As for being on your P's, it doesn't matter, so long as your car is in roadworthy condition (they will scrutineer your car) then you will be fine. It probably won't be until early next year the way it's looking

Ah ok sorry, read the whole thread, must have missed where you said you were in contact with them.

And as for early next year, thats great news, more things i can have done to the car by then :(

You get what you pay for... I imagine if there are more cars and less track time, it becomes cheaper. And the better instructors will be able to demand a slightly higher price too. I'm happy paying with $400, it'll be a Christmas pressie for myself!

very keen for this, ive rarely had the chance to go hard in the gtr and it'll be a bit of a vindication after all the $ i've spent on it ;P

-D

question, why is it $400???? KPM did one exactly like this and it was $200 or $250 all up, i think there even organising another one or will do if they get enough interest

There's like an instructor between 2-3 people.

Some well known drivers too.

    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
