i got 2

1. wen i was 13 i asked this guy if i could drive his vb commodore, he said no cos it had no brakes. ten minutes after he asked if i wanted to go for a quik drive, i hopped in, we went down the road and as we turned off lights an old couple turned out of a servo. we were going about 30kmh. he was pumpin his brakes but they werent doin shit...slowest accident ive ever had..straight into the old couple..cops came his car got hell defected

2. went thrashing a gemini on a rainy night, fuel gauge didnt work we ran out of petrol in front of a party, tried to gate crash it, friends cam and we filled it with petrol, so mate tried to show off driving up and down pulling handbrakes and shit, then people were outside the party watchin. he pulled a handbrake to try and do a drifty but it loked up and went head on into a tree...i was pissin myself so was the ppl at the party...we just reversed and got the hell out of there...embarrasing for him..funny for me...they wouldve thought this car was stolen

Funniest Accident wasnt me but my friend Melanie .... when she was 13 her mums friend let her take their brand new landcruiser for a drive along the beach .... Mel had no idea how to drive and panicked pressed accelator instead of brake and drove his $70,000 car straight into the ocean ..... and saltwater got into the engine and that was the end of it.

Ive only ever had one accident on my P-plates in my ZX ... i was pulling out onto a street my vision to oncoming traffic was blocked by a bus so i continued to pull out and side swiped a ford telstar .... the damage on his car was sooo small i could hardly see it but it ended up costing me $1,300!! As my then boyfriend said to me at the time "You shouldve given him $50 and said There now i bought your piece of crap"

Ive had a lot close calls - a few spin outs - all in the Zed but road was empty at the time .... a near collision with a traffic pole (dont go thru an intersection sideways kids) oh and the neighbours little mo-fo yapping dog disappeared after running after my car barking and i was too busy wondering where the phuck it had gone and if i had run over it that i ran my ZX into the ditch and blew two tyres .... now i just aim for the little fluff ball!!

But yeah had my R33 for 12 months in August and *touchwood* its all still in one piece :D

jeeez you are one accidental person :D dont worry, heres a close to death story that will make skyline owners quiver few of us guys were just out and about on a midnight drift when one guy was in a dodgy magna and pulled the hand brake putting his car side ways on a straight road not look out for the R33 travelling at 160 right behind him it was 1 inch and i swear only 1 inch from a fatal accident...scarrry shit i was shakking in my shoes after watching that

said i only had one accident - in three years of driving i dont think is that bad :D

Everyone has close calls dont they? haha im actually pretty tame now ive got the R33 .... might cry if i dent it :D

in my old old old first car (81 cortina), i pulled across someone in traffic, he clipped my bumper and took off about 30cm of it, no biggie..

But he damaged his headlight, indicator, front bumper, front quarter panel, two rims, and munched two tyres as he skidded and hit the kerb afterwards.....

... got his name and address, but never heard from him again.

$80 later i had a new bumper :D YAY!

I was driving Boxheads previous R32 in northern NSW, dry conditions around lunchtime. Approached "the" corner under the speed limit, was a 80klm/h turn a third of the way in we hit a bump (caused by roadworks) and the backend stepped out, I got to full opposite lock and hard on the brakes by the time we were heading off the corner backwards.

From here it got worse, the area we were driving in was sorrounded by cane fields, on the outside of the roads is a two meter wide and one meter deep cane drain, as the back passenger side wheel hit that we were launched in the air rolling once, landing on its roof and rolling a couple more times on the ground and finally finishing upside down. Minor injuries, Box had stitches etc on his elbow, I manged to be stabbed in the knee by the car keys and had some glass in my skull. Not as bad as it sounds I didn't even need to see a doctor.

The experience of rolling a car, espically someone else's is as bad as it sounds. Luckily I had recently been made redundant from a job I held for 6 years and received a large payout, which more than covered the excess for the insurance and boxcar upgraded from a 32 GTS N/A Auto to a 32 GTS25T 5spd.

Funniest accident I know of was a mate of mine back in Manchester UK. His Dad owned a chain of butchers shops. They were taking delivery of four new vans from the Ford dealer and stuffed up on numbers of people - they all went in one car and they needed his Dad to sign the cheque. His brother had driven them there and wouldn't let his Dad drive his car back (whatever it was, his pride and joy) 'coz his Dad was such a crap driver. So his Dad gets to drive one of the new vans, which was not planned. So they all go in a line to drive off the dealer's forecourt. The first guy sees big gap in traffic before a bus coming, so pulls out OK. The 2nd guy sees the gap and pulls out OK too, followed by the 3rd guy who sees that the gap before the bus is narrowing fast, but can just nip in. Their Dad, ace driver that he is, thinks all is fine and just follows the first three without looking. The bus removed the front end of the brand new van, writing it off, while the back wheels were still on the dealer's forecourt.

I have always been impressed by this achievement!! Their Dad, only mildly stunned by events, blamed the three in front of him for leading him out when there was not enough room!!!

Wonderful.

My funniest was forgetting to drop the hand brake on a drift and put my car into a box Curb at 130 kph

righto try no to imply to much dangerous driving please.

My only prang, was the company car (pizza shop) i use to work for. it was a manual holden nova hatch, my car at the time was an automatic mitsabishi colt hatch.

parked the nova in 1st gear in the loading bay surrounded on 3 sides by concrete walls. came out to start it totally forgot about the clutch bunny hopped it into the loading bay, twisting the bumper, the bonnet, the right 1/4 panel and smashing the headlight.

now can i park ur car?

Reminds me of the time that i had just bought my first import, a S12 Nissan...

took it to the exhaust shop to get the first of the mods done, then when i went to pick it up i was in such a hurry to hear the new sound i put the keys in the ignition and tried to start it.

The car was parked facing a wall and proceded to throw itself into it.

Needless to say i always check to see if my car is in gear now...

My funniest was a few years ago ..was in the left lane stopped at a set of lights next to a guy on a bike.

The light turned green and as I took off I saw the biker stop and then out of the corner of my eye I saw a blur which turned out to be a car running a red light. This old guy in the other car started going off about me a young guy driving a fast car and taking off through a red light!!!what the???

I figured I was screwed as who would believe the young guy.

At that time the bike rider was writing the license numbers down as I didn't have a pen. He then casually unzipped his rain jacket to reveal a....yes that's right...a policemans uniform:D

The other guy stopped mid sentence and I heard an audible "GULP"

Yes kiddies there is sometimes a policeman around when you need him

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
