I swear the StagenWagen has it's own gravitational field for stupid motorists and suicidal wildlife!

Tonight's adventure started with much hated toward Holden drivers - one decided to wander into my lane and nearly take off my front end and then further down the road cut me off. I made it safely into town for a session at the pub for a mates 21st birthday then we went onto one of the local night clubs for some loud music and more sillyness (I didn't drink), we finished up there and I drove said mate and his girlfriend home.

Within 2mins of my mates house I skittled a possum, The front bar wasn't damaged at all however there was a nice 'snot stain' from whatever bodily fluids the possum wiped on the lip of the front bar. We got out and inspected the mess then proceeded on to the drop off point. I stopped in at a servo on the way home to wash the mess off the bar and grab an ice coffee. I jump back in and continue home, Within yet another 2mins of arrive home I skittled a Rabbit - same thing: no damage to the bar however this time there was a nice red stain left all up the air dam. Got home and hosed that one off.

:) Just one of those days.

you might find your car has a star trek style "cloaking device" like our Z does. It causes the car to become invisible to other motorists so they just change lanes into it, pull out in front of it, able along in the right lane ahead of it etc etc. All because your car is unfortunately invisible. It even causes people to reverse into you in car parks and open their doors into your car.

We are yet to find the off button in the z, so it hashad more hits than elvis. the highlight was when the uninsured l plater indicate left, pulled left and then turned right once we got beside him, but it has also by hit by a truck along the side, taxi down the other side, front bar knocked off in a car park. I am forgetting at least 2 more decent ones because I know it is up to its 3rd drivers side door skin.

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?
    • roof rail delete used to be a thing, they were made locally for a while too
    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
