Yeap... A pod box makes it legal in most police eyes however if they've had a bad day = defect.

I believe the rule is pod has to be fully enclosed, I figure the pod is enclosed - in the bonnet lol My pod, when I had it was fully enclosed looks cleaner anyway

Yes and if the police are reading this now i say to the two officers with the orange Typhoon. Keep up the good work defecting the morons on George st outside of town hall on Saturday nights... This city needs idiots like them sorted out the way they drive ....

Saying that, I got pulled over once when I left the gym... First thing cop asked me where were my P Plates? I told him I'm a 1/4 of a century old, I'm on my fulls and his tone just changed and all he did was give me a breathe test and off I went...

mine you, I don't have wnker sized rims, nor is my car loud. Good experience with a copper? I think so.

Just wondering...at what inch does 'wanker size' start?

I have had more good experiences with the Police than bad. Though i will cringe if i get pulled over again. Ill explain:

Took a trip to Tassie with the missus. Hired a car. In Tas they dont have signs warning you there are fixed speed cameras.

2 fines with 1 week. However when the first fine was processed in NSW it was double demrits,so i lost 9 points all up.

Then a few months later i had a small accident and copped a Neg driving fine.

So as soon as i get my car back on the rd if the Police pull me over and look under my bonnet + my driving history i will get raped for sure.

Im not a hoon on the rd but he wont know that.

I think ill get a "Ban low performance drivers, not high performance cars" sticker made and put in on my rear window.

I'd say an SAU sticker should be an advantage. We're a comparatively sensible bunch. We probably have an average age 3-4 years older than that of NS which helps. We're highly educated and good looking too.

Thank me for the latter :bunny::D

No he was just wrong.

The laws on that are VERY clear. I have them in the car now. The plate can be wherever it wants to be on the front of the car, but it has to be viewable from a 45 degree angle from the center of the car and 10m back (i think).

Alfa romeos come on the side standard too :bunny:

The pod box Must be plastic so it can crumble on impact.... i herd

Was thinking about this thread last night when traveling on William st. I wouldn't have minded some police there to tell off all those who were triple parking (and the street is 3 lanes) to chat to their mates in ridiculously dropped cars that would just go off the road because they don't have any rebound rates. Makes responsible majority of car enthusiasts look bad, making police and society automatically assume anyone with a modified car is like them... Anyways, that's my rant for the day, lol.

On our cars some Police might consider those stickers as a piss take and pull you over anyway.

well piss take it is ,it was a piss take in the mid 90's to on old v8's and just about any car,but its also a piss take taking a highly modified car out in places where you know your going to get picked on !! in all my years driving modified cars and its been 13 years, ive been defected once for over sized rims and on that time he let me off, for low end speeding but he said that he had to give me something...

it all comes down to not being a smart ass when you get pulled over.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
