his new head is still being ported...no rush...these mega builds take time, a lot of care and also patience. Simon will have a good long engine to impress Santa with when he calls into the Buckley house this christmas.

Sorry Simon...i know you want pics...ive been very busy...will get some more up this weekend.

Tomei 270 deg 10.8mm cams and Tomei bronze guides are ordered and on their way...combined with a stage 2 port job this is going to be one awesome head.

whats the go with these double valve springs?

HAHAHAHA yeh that table cloth looks quite tough.

its cost me a fair bit round the 14 15k range... but dont 4get its the ducknuts of bits inluding being a stroker motor. its not just a rods and pistons build.

santa be having a hard time loading the sucka into his sled he had to go buy a gantry to load and offload... thank f*k i aint got a chimney lol

hows the build going?

just waiting on the head to be finished (something thats out of my control)

getting things done by others is an unfortunate reality for me as head porting is white mans magic that i don't have a clue about.

Simon has been very patient which makes it less stressful for all concerned.

wont be too much longer guys and it will be down to Godzilla Motorsport for tuning...then the streets of Hervey Bay will never be the same.

with the size housing ive got i cant see nemore then 620rwhp on98 pump .... safely.... but will be fairly responsive considering ive got a stroker bottom end largish cams and a nicely ported head.... should see full boost hopefully by 4.2 4.5 all the way to 9..... WOO

i know exactly what it will make...

a mess of his rear tyres!

BAHAHAHAH yeh i know this.... can hurt to try a few things and see how we go... might have to run sum semi slicks on the street. do a burnout b4 i leave the yard so i got grip hahahahaha

and belo i think the first time i hit boost in it i will be quite scared but im used to sliding around ive had abit of practice so we'll just see how it acts. im thinking diff may start to have issues.

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
