I spoke to Cameron Reeves during the week and the Skelta's are definitely out. Well Ray has spat the dummy whilst the other owners are "happy" enough to keep running in DEMO class.

So Cameron is chasing a new seat now for Targa.

At this stage I'm unsure whether I can put the Z Tune kit back on my car like I had last year given the new rules. Stu has become impossible to get hold of in the last month to get it clarified. It was due to get done on Monday as well.

But there's nothing quite like leaving things til the last minute! :)

:) I reckon these new regs are a good thing for the sport. It keeps it more affordable and will stop anyone building a potentially unsafe lightweight special just designed to "win' regardless of ultimate safety. Just my two cents worth.

Yes the Daytona is eligible and two will be at THC.

Since 2001 ten fully assembled ADR complied road vehicles have rolled out their Dromana doors and hit the road, so this model it ticks the box.

The two Lamborghini's are a work in progress and being made eligible... Super Loc Racing and White Hot Motor Sport are all working hard to make it to the event.

Well the kit is all good to go - cheers Stu :D

Will be back to looking tough. Also think we sorted the minor handling issue today so will give it a test run @ Sandown tomorrow and see how we go. Gut feel is it's going to be a good thing.

I know a couple are registered, but I don't know how many in truth as I'm not that familiar with the Skelta. I understand the issue maybe over the requirement the constructed vehicles to be 'manfuactuered' to an identical technical configuration, there are three engine configs the Skelta comes in.

For anyone that might remember it, I always thought Ray's previous carbon fibre bodied widebody clubman was far far cooler looking car than the Skelta. That said, a set of 18 or 19" rims and the Skelta could make it look heaps better.

On the topic of this kind of car... Michael Stoschek from Germany (previously ran Porsche's (classic 911 ST and wicked black 993 GT2 in Targa) is behind this awesome bit of kit. He reckons it's goes and sounds even better than it looks!

Good work Snowy. I got the 7... it didn't stop raining the whole time we loaded it up on the trailer!

Hey all, sorry to ask this here, but given that Snowman, Marlin etc will probably see it, thought it might be a good place to ask....

I'm after a heavily modded R34 GTR suitable for Duttons/ATC etc. Anyone got one and thinking to sell? (looking to replace my ex-Dutton car).

Lol, I can sell you mine but it's not heavily modified, but also Fair Dinkum Dave who owned Giants 32 for a while messagesd me just this morning and wants to move his very tough 34 on...... Road car with new Hollinger box and lotsa horses..... PM me if you like

You sure you didn't pick it up in Melbourne? It hasn't stopped here for days!

And have you seen Buller? THC in this could be more than interesting!

I'll second that notion. if you wanted a nice 34 GTR with some serious gear Dave's car would be hard to go past. why on earth does he want to sell?!?!

I have absolutely NO idea.... he put the Hollinger in, like, Last Week! Reading between the lines I think he may have had a run in with the fuzz while out "settling in" the Hollinger?

The car is amazing though, best of everything, not just the engine, but the entire driveline. A better street mod GTR I don't think exists in Oz.

The price tag matches the car, but the ask doesn't go close to matching even the parts costs.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
    • Bloody apprentices! 🙄
    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
