What Oil Sandwich Plate Do You Guys Use?

so i have a just jap oil sandwich plate in my car and it is leaking. read a thread regarding them as a common problem.

thinking of replacing it since i don't like oil dripping in the garage.

whats sandwich plates are you guys using?

any recommendation?

I used trust kits on both my GTRs and not a single problem or leak with either of them. also they have a built in thermo-sttate which is goof to get the oil up to temp qucikly.

hey mate before you go throwin more money away try take it off and give the seals a good clean then put back on tight see if that works i has a similar problem with mine and this fixed the dripping on the garage floor

got a greddy oilfilter relocation kit on the way with the greddy/trust sandwich plate, been reccomended them, i never buy cheap shit for my car as you get what you pay for

yeah i was thinking about taking it off and giving it a good clean, but recently my mate install the same oil sandwich plate and he snapped the thread which allow you to screw the plate in. lucky for me i didn't tighten it to hard but now it has started to leak again(i installed mine a few months ago).

worse come to worse looks like a trust relocation kit for me.

pretty expensive since all i want is my oil temp gauge to work

less than a hundred dollars delivered to your door, just jap is $30 + postage ?? is it worth the hassle to save that and buy a new one in the end ?? just order the good parts first time

Be careful not to assume that using a "brand name" part will mean you won't have any problems, I've got a Trust kit and have had leaks from the start. I recently pulled it all apart again and put gasket sealant in all the fittings which has almost solved it, but I still have a very slow leak to track down. Having said that the overall quality of the kit is good, and I'd be happy to buy another, I suspect I just got a dodgy one rather than there being a problem with the design.

If you get a Trust kit I'd recommend using stronger hose clamps than the ones that come with the kit, the clamps that came with mine were fairly flimsy, and I'd personally rather be sure that my oil is going to stay in the engine than have pretty blue hose ends.

why not talk to Just Jap about the problem? We run their relocator on the race car with no issues at all.
