Another great night. Managed to slice .35 sec of my previous best to get a 14.181 @ 96.67 with a 2.162 6ft. Quite happy with that considering I was still running 36psi in the tyres, can't bring myself to let them down yet. Alot of familar faces out there too. Can't wait till the next Wed test'n'tune!

I was just comparing terminal speeds with the temperature and it show some interesting things ie;

Temperature (deg C).............Terminal Speed (mph)

17.......................................96.32

16.......................................96.67

16.......................................97.28

15.......................................97.11

14.......................................97.30

13.......................................98.08

I wonder what the KW increase is for every 1 degree drop in temperature?

Steve, there was a V8 Brockie out there doing 12.6's at 109mph... you've got some hope yet!! BTW.. I have video footage of you efforts on my computer if you would like it ;) Very impressive! I'm guessing the misses wasn't there!! ;)

I ran a personal best last night as well of a 14.38 at 97mph. I was pretty stoked. Most people know how long I've tried to get that car below a 14.4!!! If I hadn't stuffed up the first run, I reckon it would have been lower than a 14.3.. *glares at accelorator pedal* .... I even tried one of those burnout things for the first time :burnout: ;) *hides* But I got shown up big time by a grey 180. But I've dicussed a story with MRE that I was actually driving the 180 and we swapped back cars at the stagging lights.. Ok? :uh-huh: It's "OUR" little secret!

I had fun. I decided I would go out and race it seeming all the problems are fixed at this point in time.. till something else breaks.

In the first run I raced FST32... I want to forget that run :sob: .. Don't know if he's on the forums here, but Hi!

Also, while I was sitting in the pits listening to an RB powered 180 (very sweet  ) .. I heard them talking about the Skylinesaustralia forums. Was this anyone here, or was it someone we don't really know?

I had fun anyway. Wasn't such a fun day at work today with 5 hours sleep :drops dead:

the reason why the times were so slow and speed was so fast was I was trying out 400R's Bridgestone 'Grid' something 205/55 16's which had been sitting in his garage for near on a year and were cheap and hard

For all the runs I started in 1st gear, I had too much spinning in 1st and 2nd gear - I resorted to practising the art of tire warming and 2nd gear race starts

After that last warm up, the tires were down to the metal band and the rest of the tread was smearing like glue - but it was well worth it!! :) :) :)

Erin - I would love to get hold of that vid off you sometime - you coming to sprints tomorrow?? I am hoping to end up running 12.8's with good road tires and after fixing boost drop 8-(

yeah i went up to willowbank also. First time out at the track and i got 4 runs in total. Best was a 14.09@100mph. I am happy with that although i would like more traction 1st n 2nd but i had the best time. Very enjoyable pitty i got lined up with that chevy camaro with the big block in it which when racing me ran a 12 flat. And also a orange vk which ran a 12.8. So i was abit shamed out especially on the burnout sides of things. But i enjoyed myself alot.

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
