Hi all,

Just need a quick heads up on anyone who owns or has owned an R32 GTR. Roughly how many kms do you get out of a tank (normal driving and hard driving, if you ever drive it normally, lol) and how many litres are the tanks?

Not going to say why just yet... but all shall be revealed in time.....

Andrew.

hi andrew, i think i met you at an open house a while ago, i think it was your parents house? i had a white 32gtr.

anyhoo, when i first bought my car i was happily getting 450k's from a tank. that's with a standard engine and a power fc, driven relatively sedately but often given a bit of poke if the driver in front is annoying me. unfortunately things have been going downhill lately and i'm lucky to get 350. dunno what's wrong but it's becoming a very expensive problem! and i've heard people getting as little as 250k's from a tank, on cars that have been more heavily modded than mine.

oh and the tank is 65 litres.

500?!! you are the luckiest man on this earth. without trying to hijack the thread, what petrol do you use? i use bp ultimate if i can, as it seems to make the car produce less black smoke.

500??? Holy shit I couldn't even get that when it was stock! Best I have ever got from my tank is 400....

My average is 350 - 380 from a 60 litre tank so unless my maths is bad (highly possible) I think that works out to be around 16 litres per 100ks.

When I'm bad it's 280-300... :P

I'm a BP Ultimate girl for the most part.

I guess it depends on what your idea of "driving it right" is

I drive my car for fun and because I love it. Don't really give much of a toss bout economy but it's interesting to hear someone get so much out of a tank.

But from memory for the few times I've had it on the highway it's pretty good.... No worse than my old non turbo was.

An observation. The words "fuel", "economy" and "Nissan GT-R" should never be used in the same sentence...unless associated with the word "crap". I have a fuel miser car for everything else, I have a GT-R for driving in the truer sense of the word!

No you dont!

got 600km out of my tank on the way to melbourne. Thats to the fuel light came on, around 60L of fuel...

Not bad for a car making around 550hp at the crank. On wakie, i used a take in under 100kms. (inc the drive up)

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
