its ineresting how many high rwkw cars are expected for this.

Brian hopes for over 12000kws out of 40 cars.

or did everyone get a little hopefull when filling out the entry form as to expected power?

I hope i havn't been overly optimistic as i've put down 250-300 (tune in a week and a half).......We all know your muppet bus puts down awsome numbers maybe you can take up some slack Dangerman.

lol

im only just above the average, is what i was getting at.

every other dyno day there is only a small handfull of cars that crack 300 rwkws.

it would be awesome if we could get 10 - 20 over that mark.

i asuming cubes is gonna thro 2 bar in to take the crown.

damn id be there if i wasnt overseas at that time, :O

i think the KW rating spead is too large when i signed up i was making 210 so i clicked the 200-250 bracket and if Brian has don't the sums on the upper end of all the nominated brackets then it will quickly add up

Martin should bring the R35 down :O

my sil80 has been accepted, made it even, although i have to trailer the car to the event unless i cant get a day pass, hopefully i can, othrwise im not quite sure where to park and soforth, car is making just over 300rwkws atm on 1 bar, will be going to either 20 or 25 psi next week, will see some good figures out of it hopefully

so hopefully ill be looking at around 400rwkws, fingers crossed, not bad for a drift car

lol. Thats if I can source an actuator in time.

I've been waiting on Bill for a good 4weeks odd now but nothing has came of it so I'll take a trip up to MTQ and start looking interstate.

A Little O/T but Darren your 18psi actuator is it the small can or the large can? I've found a 19psi small can from MTQ which hopefully I can grab and then retune for in time.

Other wise it will be the usual 17psi and only just 300rwkw.

why dont u just go a externalgate set up?? or are you still running standard manifold??

hey Cubes when you put a rb30 bottom end in did you have to notify regency or is it illegal and needs to be engineered?

i was thinkn doin a similar rb25/30 build like yours after sum 1 blew my motor up but was worried bout regency

why dont u just go a externalgate set up?? or are you still running standard manifold??

Still running std manifold. GT30r is a waste on a nice exh manifold and ext gate setup.

Unless I were to go 380rwkw+ and a GT40+ I'll stick with int gate.

yeh ive just upgraded from a gt30 on a external manifold n gate

ill be now running a gt 35/40.82 but on a custom 6boost low mount manifold

yeah i got the 35/40 .82 aswell, on lowmount, going to highmount soon though, runs really well actually, only problem with mine is u dont hear any boost whistle due to the screamer going off its tits, lol, bloody loud thing it is

i just love scaring people with it..lol

cant believe u just run a remapped ecu with all ya mods....thats` awesome

Ken/PIMPED, 400rwkw using 550cc Sard injectors... that's what i call pushing the limit!

I'm going to do my best to make it to this dyno day, as it sounds really interesting. It'll also be interesting to do a rough comparison (power curve, peak values, turbo response etc.) with my own dyno runs on Shaun's dyno - there's about 90+ of them saved on the thing ha-ha.

I might even have the tuning finished by then and could try and help bolster the import figures - I 'may' be able to offer low 300's at the rears - best of 302rwkw so far. It might squeeze out 315-320ish once the cams are set-up and a few more pounds wound in.

What we - the import team - really needs is for Darren's R31 to be up and running - 550rwkw would help push the total up nicely.

Reading all this has got me thinking that i should try to get my turbos on before this event so i can get over the 300kw mark aswell. I'll make some calls tomorrow and see what i can organise :)

umm that would be nice to see/hear chad

    • That sounds like an excellent idea. But total self-sufficiency means exactly that. You have no-one else to blame when your system faults out and you have no power for a week or two while it gets fixed. You'd have to go the whole hog and get a diesel genny and all the switchover gear, to get you through such times. And, despite the fact that over 20 years, my system has been pretty reliable**, I have seen so many inverter explosions (or less dramatic deaths), panel and roof JB fires, and so on, over that time, to know that the stuff is the same as any other bulk Chinese manufactured stuff. The failure rate is well above zero - both on the equipment and on behalf of the meth addled installation labour force. And then..... warranty and means of redress against the supplier you bought the gear from. Best I can tell is that only a handful of solar companies are still around within 5 years of starting their advertising pitch. They disappear and phoenix like crazy. So, as per 1st paragraph, I suspect the only way to is go balls deep and spend maybe 2-3 times as much as you might think, so that you have every base covered. Plus, know and understand your gear intimately, so you can diagnose problems, sort them out yourself, etc, etc. Plus, probably have to consider upgrading various parts as the years pass, to maintain compatibility with newer stuff, performance and reliability, etc, etc. Whereas, remaining attached to the grid has an ongoing cost that keeps going up even if you use bugger all power from it. But it does provide the fallback in case of the worst case with your own gear. You either pay up front or as you go, I suspect.
    • Add more solar panels to the array. Call the electricity company and tell them you're moving out... Live off grid electric wise
    • Hi Jasmine. How's the war going?
    • I'm extremely suspicious of the VPP stuff. Best I can tell, you surrender any and all control of your panels and battery to the VPP, because there's no way that anyone could write a sufficiently useful set of "rules" as to how much you would be willing to let out of your export meter at any given time. If one of your main interests is to have enough in your battery every evening to get you through the night without having to import, you could easily find yourself with nothing in your battery at the end of the day, or part way through the night, and then be paying import pricing instead of paying nothing. I cannot see how this cannot come to pass.
    • majority aftermarket is an10 yes, but majority of OEM is An12 r35 OEM cooler lines at close to an 12, the hard line that car uses is almost 20mm  Porsche OEM is also AN12   i figure, if our power levels are close to 1000hp, then AN12 should be a must if many OEM standard power vehicles use AN12
