yes yes yes but you dont seem to see that there wanks and close parking, sydney is conjested in some places but uws definately isnt congested untill they stupidly reduce the car spots and give out fines because of there mistakes by leaving a barricade down without any signs saying not to park there when we were allowed to park there last semester..... i wasn't the one who got the fine but if i was one of the people who did id go into them screaming my head off telling the people ultimately incharge how incompetent some of there "security" people are when it comes to parking on grounds....

lol if i get a parking fine because of a mistake like that id crack a shit big time

I don't pay for parking unless I know I'm in a danger zone..

I didn't pay once last year at uni along city road and never copped a fine.. At $3.30 an hour and me being there on average for 5 hours a day for 6-8 months.. I saved soooooo much..

This year I've been booked twice.. So as far as I see it, I'm still in the green. ;)

Man and i thought it was bad parking at UWS campbelltown where if your late you have to park in one of the carparks that will take you a mere 4 mins to walk to class haha

I read today that all the UWS prices for parking are going up a fair bit $75 or something for yellow but still better than $12 a day i guess ;)

also are we allowed to get blue permits if we are just students???? they $100 a year, if i knew that i would have got a blue one from the beginning

yeah you can, im so gettting one next year!

geez didnt know it had got so bad!

thank god i graduated, anybody at blacktown? some of the parking there was real dodgy, that unpaved dirt one by the library was s**t!

Blacktown  ew.

Public transport..

eh i figured that i have a catch 2 trains 2 bus + waiting time so meh.

cbf

the other campus gets just as full and the other day i was forced in an r33 to go four wheel driving, but not on a flat level oval... literally over bumps that allot of cars couldn't go over let alone mine...

My friend had the same problem in his CRX, and when he told security/parking guy he wasn't going, guy told him to get lost  as he had no choice and will have to park there.

Try UNSW mate. No parking anywhere, unless you wanna spend half an hour traipsing around kensington looking for someone to leave, or park in a 1 hour zone and get booked every week. I haven't even bothered with the carpark, it's around $20 a day or something. Oh and cars get stolen there all the time too. Whenever i take the GTR i spend the whole day shitting myself and breathe a sigh of relief when i find it sitting where I parked it.

my memories of parking at UWS Macarthur and Bankstown are quite fond actually. Never had any dramas getting a spot.

I finished up at UWS Macarthur a year ago. It was usually pretty good for parking, and up until the final year of my degree the 'yellow' parking areas were free! Was great while it lasted.

good thing i got out when i did... it was starting to get pretty bad at the end of last year... they started with the whole parking fines... probably worth getting a blue parking permit if ya go uni 3+ days a week...

PENRITH CAMPUS FTW!!!

Parra was shit

ive got class at uws parra tonight, hopefully it wont be too bad

Yeah parra night is alright lol

not like ive been there during the night

yep thats where i park sometimes....under haymarket.

it is pure sex on wheels.

Haha thanks mate!

Im guessing you've got the clean grey 34 with SAU stickers i always see there?

wat u studying?

I once tried parking in that majestys car park, couldnt make it up the driveway, and i cringe when i walk past that outdoor carpark on quay st with the floor that looks like a minefield!

Haymarket all the way.

ive always wondered has anyone tried parking in the building under uts b6 for staff on harris st, near the abc? very tempting...

    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
    • See if you can thermal epoxy a heatsink or two onto it?
    • The other problem was one of those "oh shit we are going to die moments". Basically the high spec Q50s have a full electric steering rack, and the povo ones had a regular hydraulic rack with an electric pump.  So couple of laps into session 5 as I came into turn 2 (big run off now, happily), the dash turned into a christmas tree and the steering became super heavy and I went well off. I assumed it was a tyre failure so limped to the pits, but everything was OK. But....the master warning light was still on so I checked the DTCs and saw – C13E6 “Heat Protection”. Yes, that bloody steering rack computer sitting where the oil cooler should be has its own sensors and error logic, and decided I was using the steering wheel too much. I really appreciated the helpful information in the manual (my bold) POSSIBLE CAUSE • Continuing the overloading steering (Sports driving in the circuit etc,) “DATA MONITOR” >> “C/M TEMPERATURE”. The rise of steering force motor internal temperature caused the protection function to operate. This is not a system malfunction. INSPECTION END So, basically the electric motor in the steering rack got to 150c, and it decided to shut down without warning for my safety. Didn't feel safe. Short term I'll see if I can duct some air to that motor (the engine bay is sealed pretty tight). Long term, depending on how often this happens, I'll look into swapping the povo spec electric/hydraulic rack in. While the rack should be fine the power supply to the pump will be a pain and might be best to deal with it when I add a PDM.
    • And finally, 2 problems I really need to sort.  Firstly as Matt said the auto trans is not happy as it gets hot - I couldn't log the temps but the gauge showed 90o. On the first day I took it out back in Feb, because the coolant was getting hot I never got to any auto trans issues; but on this day by late session 3 and then really clearly in 4 and 5 as it got hotter it just would not shift up. You can hear the issue really clearly at 12:55 and 16:20 on the vid. So the good news is, literally this week Ecutek finally released tuning for the jatco 7 speed. I'll have a chat to Racebox and see what they can do electrically to keep it cooler and to get the gears, if anything. That will likely take some R&D and can only really happen on track as it never gets even warm with road use. I've also picked up some eye wateringly expensive Redline D6 ATF to try, it had the highest viscosity I could find at 100o so we will see if that helps (just waiting for some oil pan gaskets so I can change it properly). If neither of those work I need to remove the coolant/trans interwarmer and the radiator cooler and go to an external cooler....somewhere.....(goodbye washer reservoir?), and if that fails give up on this mad idea and wait for Nissan to release the manual 400R
