Radio and TV actually have very little power to influence peoples attitudes, sure they can set the public agenda but changing attitudes requires massive amounts of effort.

I love the 'brainwashed masses' argument always leveled at the media. If everyone is brainwashed why aren't you, why is everyone else somehow dumber and more suceptable to media effects then you or every other high horse person who says that? Stop giving the media so much power ffs we are all intelligent beings capable of discerning what we see on shows like TT/ACA!

if Skylines are the pin up car for hoons, who cares... it might increase the amount of people in the market for them. After all in the media it doesn't matter what they say as long as the spell your name right.

if you really think the media has 'little influence' on the masses, then you are one of the brainwashed 'woolies' out there. also, if you believe that 'we' [society] can 'all' rationally shift the truth from media beat-ups, then you probably believe in the tooth fairy.

auction haha na you wont see my car there.. cops are to impressed with my sliding to book me.. true storey got let of the other day for doing about a 400 m drift infront of a cop.. cop was so impressed he let me off... :D

You need a VN mate then u and all your bogan mates can go rip hectic skids out the front of maccas at 1 in the morning to impress the chicy babes!

I'm not even going to bite at that, if your interested to find how your wrong I'll happily direct you to a pile of books and research data.

Sometimes the stereotype gets to me, sometimes I find it funny, mostly I find it highlights the people who don't form their own opinions.

I might have been lucky but only 1 ticket in 30 months of this Skyline ownership (for 72 in 60 zone) and I've gotten a touch of oversteer here and there most days.

If you don't drive with at least a bit of spirit in you sometimes then you believe the hype as much as the next person - just don't do it in the wrong places, and all in moderation.

Just check out how the police drive 90% sensible 10% skids/burnouts, let them lead by example.

As for today-tonight don't worry it won't be on too much longer.

One last topic - Australians generally drive too cautiously and without consideration to others or the conditions. Try to do better than this pretty please.

actually on my way home last night.. was driving along the m1 and saw 2 police on motorbikes and around 20 or so imports/commodores and the police pulled over a toyota yaris and some van thing

i was so happy they were actually focusing on cars doing the wrong thing instead of pulling over the imports for no reason.. even though they were doing like 30 in a 110 zone.. but at least they didnt get pulled over

or maybe they just couldnt see in the dark :D

its funny how we are labeled the "hoons" cause we drive imports.. yet around 9 times outta 10 we get pulled over when we arent actually hooning..

well the excuse i got when i got pulled over was my suspension looked rocky :D

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
