Yes, totally agree with James & Damo. I wouldnt say those skyline is in perfect condition, but its in fairly good condition for this price, so i think those skyline wont last long.

I was looking at the blue one on the internet but when i rocked up on saturday he said he had sold it. Its good to hear that you found it good. I was a bit sus at start but after meeting him he seemed to be a really decent guy

He didn't mention anything about a warranty to me but then again I didn't ask. Anyway yeah you do need to be quick.

Confucius say:

"Better to be slow and miss a lemon than..

to be quick and get soured by it" lol

At least it seems that your logic is catching up to ur emotions eh?

And at least the guy who bought my R33 GTR 5 years ago felt it was worth the wait. Mine was the 13th car he'd looked at.

Cheers, Terry

Thanks for that Terry, I have looked at couple of other ones but all the other ones were near the $20k mark and had lots of mods done. This one i looked at was basically stock which is what I'm really after

haha, yeah, might need the mods to start checking IP addresses......

still seems something suspect, anyone who's bought one, what workshop complied the cars?

I am not the salesman, i am saying that because i went there to check it out and wanna share the finding with you guys who is interested in going to check out his car. I didnt ask what workshop he complied the cars, but he got his own workshop in his house at the back yard ( a very big house of cause). I have my mechainc come with me to check those car, and once again, they are not in perfect condition but in fairly good condition, at least the rear bumper hasnt been removed(or the panel beater done a great job), no serious damage to the rear end (Skyline offen has rear end damage specially rear 1/4).

Small dent & crigatte hole on 1 seat off the silver GTT, also one of them is missfiring on the engine & Check engine light is on. And if you buy the car, the seller need to fix everythings up to get pass the RWC.

Once again, I am not Pushing anyone to buy car off this guy, besure you check everything and you happy with them before you hand over your cash. When you doubt something, dont go ahead until you make it clear. Ask question to yourself & to the seller, keep your eye on seller's word and answer the question in your heart.

My point is base on what my finding is, this is a good price for a R34GTT in this condition, & thats the reason why i think it wont last long.

dealers got good mates to do their RWC's.. i got f*ked really hard by a dealer i bought my VT off.. cost a shit load to fix problems in the car.. they only fix things they are required to.. but i had a dealer that got a car passed that shouldnt have been.. make it last 3 months and your in the clear.. also if they are gonna fix these issues.. why dont they do them now and will appeal more to buyers?

not saying he's dodgy but you seem to press the issue of buy these cars.. imo your better to get a car in good condition as it leads to the life its had..

If engine is misfiring like you say then add minimum $500 + labour for splitfire coils...could be a whole multitude of other problems too you would need to check out - get a compression test done for instance. I wouldnt rush in for this magical deal...

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
