you going to run it in completely stock like the 355?

yeah didn't think so

uh, no the point was his 240rwkw gtst vs a similar year itallian

so, i said i'd run my 245kw low boost setting... fairly obviously NOT stock :)

the ENTIRE point of his comment was comparing a modified car to the itallians

gtr's have curves in all the right places, so in other words they are the ones you would rather be with.

the gts-t's are like the stick figure models, not alot of meat, nothing to grab onto, not to mention the lack of muscle!

I'd take a 355 over anything in the skyline range.

anybody who says otherwise is a raging cock eater for sure.

Couldn't care if a stock R32 GTST beats it

more than you can afford pal.!!

lol i have this argument EVERY DAY at uni with my mates...

at the end of the day, i drive my car about 5 times a week, and i don't have a garage spot so it sits outside...

i don't think a 355 would last long in those circumstances...

im the same

i thought of taking out a novated lease with work and salary sacrifice for a brand new car. but honestly. out there i don't know which brand new car, bang for buck has as much performance, looks, value for money, cheap to mod, great fun as my line. was considering new ford falcon turbo. but still. my 98 black r33 looks 1000 times better.

my boss has an 08 sti for 80 grand. subaru can forget it. driven it and was not impressed at all. even after tuning mods. so until something better comes my way thats in my price range im keeping my skyline.

hahahaha...yeah skylines... they rock !!!

the other day i was thinking what i'd buy if i sold mine, and i came up with.................... another skyline lol. seriously. its bad.

My thoughts exactly!!!

Heck ya!!

Unfortunately I'm limited to the 15yr rule of importing japanese cars (canadian, eh), so my options are a little more limited.

I have a R32 GTS-t with tasteful mods that make it fun....

But I want to get a 93 GTR next year.

Or just spend a crap load on my GTS-t.

I think a GTS-t would be cheaper to make faster.

I've also thought about upgrading fuel, and sweet turbo, and then RB25... hmmm

So many options even just with skylines!

I'm leaning towards that because I can put some GTR front fenders on my car to widen it a little, and then RB25 + goodies for a very drivable 350-400 power.

Then I just need to find the perfect rims...

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
