ESP is at:

171 Gilmore Rd Queanbeyan, opposite the Allied Pickfords Warehouse pretty much.

just a word of warning there is a fair dip down to the dyno itself. Will talk to ESP to see if theres a cap on numbers, since we have 20 so far, and will take a while to get through if everyone shows up.

So long as I don't rip my front bar off my care factor is slightly less high considering it's booked in for the respray!! Hehe.

I'll probably turn up earlyish. I wouldn't mind catching some grand final action later in the day!

Hmm ok for a chick who is bad at directions... Where is it in relation to Inline or the Tattoo place on the main street... Land marks are good

First right after the bridge / railway line from act, or 2nd right after hmas harman. Front bar should be fine, just thought I'd tell everyone.

Had a quick chat with ESP, we are pretty much right ok to a total of 30 cars, but people need to be aware that you'll have to stand around and wait for a while if numbers are up past 20 or so. Also just trying to figure out how many AWD cars there will be as well. I won't be running AWD due to my issues.

Just got back from South East Vic... Car needs some much TLC before I can chuck her onto the dyno, had to go for 95 RON petrol knock levels were right up all the way home. Will take it back to Trojan for some re-tuning in a fortnights time. Will go see Glen afterwards to get a quick run for myself so I can have a comparison for you guys on the same dyno.

my stagea is out... new dump pipe didnt fit the best and i dont have time to fix before saturday. my mate is still coming and i might bring one of my other cars instead if it's running ok on the day.

D.

at the moment lunch is BYO,

i dont mind bringing the BBQ along again (that is what i did last time :P) if everyone wants to bring their own stuff to cook and just throw it on. I will bring excess sausages so if anyone forgets then can buy some off me :P and

hought the bbq on the cruise was very successful, im thinking a similar sort of thing here

this is all assuming that people want it (i wont bring it if no one wants it) and also assuming that it fits in the car.. im thinking that it will becase it fit in the back of my beamer...

Just finished Talking with ESP, there will be a special suprise tomorrow. You'll just have to see on the day. But my advice is, if your not doing anything on the day, even if your not going to dyno the car, get down there tomorrow. :P

Once again thx to ESP for running the day and their support.

    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
