"Your" 98 is shipped in the same unflushed container as kero, diesel, 91 octane etc...... we'd rather not take the risk of a bad batch. I've seen it too many times before.

But do tell if there's been a major change in the garunteed quality of the fuel?!?!

Yes please do ask.... would be good to have a definative answer :P

Like I say, just spoke to Vandenberg again, he said they're not running over to the mainland for 98 fuel this time, but suggested we bring our own to run in the 35.... don't wanna risk one of thiose engines :D

Looking forward to seeing the car in the flesh Ben, I'll be SOS on the chicane on stages SS2,7,8 and 13. Hopefully i'll be able to have a video camera running so i can see the performace of it accelerating out of the chicanes.

Sweet  I'll give you a wave on the way past :/

ahh looks good, the stickers always make the race car.

no idea how you found spare money from ACL though considering their last 12 months!

Kel and Tony's 35, and the 32 are on the boat to Burnie on Thursday arriving Friday

Just a little something my mate at the Advocate whipped up to support the Boys racing next weekend.

the car looks awesome russ!

over the next couple of months i'm going to take some random samples of tassie pump bp 98 and have them tested by the company we have contracted for next years events do get some hard data of local 98.

Spoke to a manager down at the wharf the other day, he told me that the fuel comes in different tanks. They (the fuel companies) won't risk cross contamination, they have pretty stringent quality control procedures. So hopefully it's as good a quality as any where else in the country :(

hey thanks Stuart, i will proably be meeting you soon.

i really want to do the Wrestpoint Targa, & will have an entry in very soon. sounds like a top event.

also atleast we know we can get fuel over there!

cheers guys

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
