/2on
If you get the uras guards the rest is meant to be pretty much bolt on unless your getting a GTR bonnet as thats what im doing to my 33 too Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/235279-r33r34-conversion-kit-help/#findComment-4120395 Share on other sites
baron25
Just so you know, it's not a conversion "kit" as such. You get the guards to do it and that's it. You need to source genuine parts - bumper, lights, reo, bonnet, bonnet latch, and bonnet hinges to get it done (OEM parts aren't cheap!!!) Keen to see the final product though, uras photos look nice. /2on
You don't have to get genuine parts to make it all fit, i have a r34 uras front bumper already waiting to go on mine, really the only thing you need to get oem is the headlights from what ive read any bonnet designed for the 34 gtt will fit fine with the stock r33 latch as long as you have the rest of the parts to go with it so if you can source aftermarket stuff cheap might as well go for it. But someone correct me if im wrong Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/235279-r33r34-conversion-kit-help/#findComment-4120876 Share on other sites
lineskee 33
A mate of mine did the 33 > 34 conversion a while ago. and from what he went through its not worth it. You do have to source all OEM parts. We had trouble lining up the headlights as they dont bolt straight in, and he had to get brackets made up. Also the biggest issue was the bonnet hinges. R33 hinges didnt fit to the bonnet right so he had to get custom ones made up. if i remember right he used the r33 hinge as the base and got s15 hinges for the top. I myself thought the r33 hinges should work until i was proven wrong. Oh and you can get away with using the same rio bar, but you would have to hack it up a bit depending which front bar u put on it. It looks good in the end but i wouldnt recommend it to anyone. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/235279-r33r34-conversion-kit-help/#findComment-4121162 Share on other sites
