In the aim to get our beloved Skyline Community pumping again!

I have started organising Wednesday Night dinners that run for the community to benefit the community in ways we were hoping to benefit local business, create a friendly atmosphere for all and hopefully gain some good friendships out of it all!

I've heard all the stories of politics and disagreements which lead to the breakdown of the old style Tuesday Night dinners and tus the eventual issues to do with the entire community. BUT! we, or I, are setting out to change this and get everyone on the same side enjoying themselves mainly because of one common interest...our cars!! I think people started to forget that we are all here to enjoys ourselves and chat about our cars, and this is what we're going to get back!

So this is what you should all do...Get into the Events section of this site into my thread ive made for the next scheduled dinner next week and come along!! Better yet the SAuQld forums are speeding along like a doberman with dencorub on his date!! SO SIGN UP ALREADY!!

Here are the links needed so that you're in the loop for the future events:

Dinner Next wednesday on HERE: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...ld-t235678.html

Please get your asses onto either one of these threads and register your interest. The last dinner we had pulled just over 30 people with only 1 weeks notice!! Everyone that attended will tell you it was great fun and theyd do it again. In saying that, We already have almost 20 signed up to come along next week, so lets make it more. All you gotta do is leave any bullsh!t and/or politics at home and arrive with an open mind and a friendly attitude

Thanks for taking the time to read,

Sam.

+ 1.

Last one looked like a great turn out with heaps of funnies.

Yeah that's it, we just need the people who dont come out their cave to come along. Last week i went not knowing anyone now i know the names of pretty much all who attended and got the numbers of about 453490534 mechanics willing to do work on my car. It's the networking that keeps these communites going imo, thats why it needs a kick in the groin

ok ok, here is my support... how do i 'throw support' behind this, meh, ill just show up like last time

thankfully its a little closer, i wouldnt call it southside though

A little closer? It'll take 15 minutes of your trip ya whinger! :bunny:

I'm in... if the first one was anything to go on, this one should be HUGE!!!!! Keep up the good work Sam! No need for groin kicking... I can show you much better ways to get people's attention...

    • The question then becomes - was there any fluid coming from that hole before you did the rebuild ?    You may not have noticed, of course.   Depending on how you did the rebuild, the possibility has to be considered that somehow (cleaning ?)  fluid entered that hole and is now being 'forced'  out by small movements of the proportioning valve.   From the factory, there's actually a small rubber plug in that hole but with age and under-bonnet heat it's quite common for it to 'go missing'.  That rubber plug is designed to allow the venting process but also to prevent 'stuff' getting to the area (prevent corrosion, etc).   The plug is also not available as a spare part AFAIA. Personally I wouldn't race and buy a new master just yet but keep an eye on the area to see if the 'leak' continues.   If you're concerned about brake fluid damaging nearby paintwork, cable tie a piece of suitable absorbant material over the hole and remove/monitor occasionally.    Operation of the proportioning valve and the brake master itself won't be affected, but also keep an eye on brake fluid level, of course. In terms of a new master, the genuine part is getting expensive, unfortunately.  Amayama is showing AUD900+.   I was searching recently and there's an aftermarket part available from Japan made by 'Parts Assist': https://zenmarket.jp/en/yahoo.aspx?q=BNR32%2bBM50&p=1 Whether it's any good I have no idea, although in my experience Japanese aftermarket stuff is pretty good quality-wise.   The above site allows overseas buyers to purchase stuff more easily from Japan but there are fees and shipping costs, of course.   The original Japanese seller page is here: https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p1197401228 Copper/Nickel is fine but I still prefer bundy tube and it's also cheaper.
