GTR

R32 - boxy looking thing with shite rims, easily fixed however. lighter/smaller than the others and more hardcore in its purpose, and of course the original. the cult hero. long live godzilla!

R34 - looks the best by far, interior + technology much better. a bit too pricey for me still, but def worth it if i could afford it.

R33 - average in every department compared to the other two. still a mean car, but doesnt stand out.

GTST

R33 - sleek, stylish (with a kit). IMO the best shape GTST, easily modified, lots of aftermarket support, best bang for your buck.

R34 - not a fan, less aftermarket support, my choice if i wanted to keep one stock.

R32 - hate the styling, but great handling. poxy RB20 lets it down a lot, not as tough as R33. drop a RB25 in and it might go hard, but it still looks like a bag of ass.

how can you guys NOT love the R33 GTR??!

sorry i think they're one of the better looking gt-r's

they're big, hulky, nice wing... then again i'm a fan of eclectic styling

my other favourite gt-r is the kenmerri skyline

but seriously

how can you HONESTLY say that these are not beautiful cars??

Ultimately I wanted a R34 GTR. Looks the most bad ass and tuff out of all.

Latest technology and a lot more refined car.

But I am very impressed with the R32 GTR. It too can look very tuff and hold an aggressive stance and is the orginal Godzilla.

Raw power performance.

R33 GTR, bit on the chubby side LOL! But still capable of performing very well and looking good.

R35 gtr> R31 Silouette>R33gtr>r32gtr>r32gtst>r33gtst>r34gtt>R35 (those non turbo things)>r34gtr......

I think the r34 gtr was one of the more uglier looking lines from the outside, sure there good cars performance and interior, but id rather the look of a black r34gtt instead, ultimately i love the gtr r35 and the old skool r31 gts.......

but im still happy with the look of my r33 gtst series 2 with gtr front.... just took this pic now

The gtr range is all good to me: it brings out the best in some people.

Stop at a traffic light or pertrol station or maccas and you may end up having a conversation with a complete stranger.

Many times ive had a smile, a chat bout cars, even dedicated v8 crowd will wanna have a chat about turbo engines.

Alot of people dont like the r33 gtr but i like it, its kinda more grown up. Jst like a conservatively dressed female that bends over and you notice her lower back tattoo; might as well be a bullseye

R35 is not a skyline.

while it may be an a stonkingly good car, it doesnt have an RB, doesnt have manual box, is designed to be difficult to modify, and looks hideous. im glad its as fast as it is, no doubt due to the paddle shift etc, but im sorry i just dont like it.

+1 to R34 z-tune. best car EVER.

You overlooked the main reason we don't like it......

can't afford one :D

Lets be honest here. all the skylines/GTR's are bashed with an ugly stick compared to the true beauties of the car design world.

Z-tune is a good car to drive no doubt but when it comes to it's looks.. what is it they keep saying at the moment ?

Lipstick on a pig :)

I've owned a few GTR's GTST's of differing types and I've also owned a 1977 Volvo station wagon with a V8 in it at the same time. So I am afraid with tastes like mine the skyline/gtr is guilty by association. ;)

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
