It's bad living in the west with a nice car / import... I've seen cars going to the illegal drags and been worried that the cops will pull me over driving to the supermarket due to mistaken idenity... It's idiots like those at Avondale Heights servo / HJs on Friday that ruin it for all us :(

yer, i agree wid most u guys, well the first couple of posts heh

illegal racing is pretty crap, and people that do it should be caught and charged. not only does it put the drivers life in danger, but also spectators or anyone else that might get caught up in it all

not a wise thing to do, nice gtr picture on that site though

Im not into street racing, and I agree its dangerous and stupid, but you guys gotta remember why ppl still do it:

its a rush, plain and simple, its just like doing that stupid stuff you did when you were 15, you do it because you know you are not supposed to do it, and therefore it gets you off

on a nice sunny day..sorry, i dont care what day it is, ya vl isnt bating leewah, on the road or the track....

u say dont underastimate a dud jap engine with single cam and t66??? i dont, i luv a nice vl with heaps of mods, i really do...but dont underestimate a 1000hp hiflow t78 in an attessa 4wd GTR :(

id luv to see your car zdenko..u take it out much?

zdenko,

firstly i'd like to apologize about what i said about VL owners ..

not all that own VLs are bad + evil + naughty ..

there are nice ones and such ..

but i was just telling ya what i saw when i go to the drags .. if you dont believe, go to the Mc Donald's on the freeway on friday/saturday nights.. (cant remember the name) , the one where there are 2 Mc donald's opposite each other .. you can see all of this cars do all sort of shit man ..

NO F***ING JOKE ! :uh-huh: :uh-huh:

cheers bro ! didnt mean to offend you or anything .. i'm sorry again !

ROFL!!

I know what that car does!

Look at the quick comparison danny:

My car:

363 Injectors

044 Pump (700HP)

MSD Ignition system (Packs & Amp)

AUTRONIC SMC Computer

270 Degree, 10 MM Lift cams.

Garret core cooler

VS

1 Lebed cut & shut VL =P that runs mid 11s!

Standard 12 Valve, single cam head, (with a aftermarket cam)

Standard RB 30 turbo Bottem end

Aftermarket cam

Slightly Biger than stock turbo =)

2X Standard EFI fuel pumps

1st generation motec.

Nizpro cooler

036 injectors? or 363s??

I think il have the 2 12" AUdiobahn subs?? or a couple of cerwins? =P

LOL WTF TREV

Danny, that motec in that is older than you!!!

and your running a T04 with slightly a bigger compressor wheel!

Nizpro make good coolers!! and thats whats in yours now? (Well it was when paul owned it)

and you do have a stock motor (bottem end)! besides the cam!!

+ a surge tank and a couple of normal Turbo EFI pumps.

Thats all thats in it bro!

And its good!!! does 11secs!!

This a praise!!! not takinga dig!!

Ok, please excuse my ignorance but "on paper" it appears the Skyline is set to annihilate the VL.  Am I correct?

Mid 11's aint that bad it it? Not just for a VL but for most cars to pull mid 11's is pretty good I thought.

Correct me if I'm mistaken tho.

11secs on front runners & slicks! not street tyres...

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
