From RaceFuels its $2/Litre+freight.

I just cant see me paying that much for something that i pay 99c for now.

I do one trip a month to Rozelle and im getting 200L at a time.

Only have 40L left so i think ill be going back there in the next day or two.

Holden are going to release that E85 commonwhore later this year or early next year, so hopefully that means more E85 at the pump.

Went to the United at Rozelle today and got 100 odd litres. I asked the guy if E85 will still be for sale there in future.

He said "ofcoarse". He said its growing in popularity day by day.

e85 apparently comes out at the united servo on sandgate rd at virginia sometime in april

I took the initiative tonight to fill up with e10 and go for a bit of a tune to give myself a bit of a feel for what's to come and I'm liking it

Can't wait to jump onto the e85 bandwagon next month!

There are reports of Walbro fuel pump failures around the globe. I read that Walbro doesn's support E85 use with their pumps as well. Have you guys seen/had problem with pumps?

I've maxed out my PE 1000cc injectors on a 3L RB with the E85. I've read mixed reports of spray pattern, mostly bad, with the Indy Blue 1600. I am not sure if it's entirely true or not but not too keen to try them out on a circuit car.

Has anyone try these big squirters?

What do you guys suggest for injector upgrade with good spray pattern to maintain good idle and midrange response?

I've had a tomei pump die running e85 also blocked a few filters, ended up useing a 044 intank, will soon be adding a couple more external 044's and a extra fuel line! what sort of power do 1000cc's support, what afr is it running? my 25 still runs side feed 850cc sard's and are maxed at 380 rwkw on willalls mainline, im pretty sure by the way the map suddenly maxes (crazy rich then snaps lean) out it's a flow issue not the injectors

Thanks for the info Adrian.

My car is still with my tuner so I've not receive any other info beside the fact that my injector duty cycle is at 100% on 24psi (about the same as your there). I have a feeder intank pump, 2x 044's, 2x dash 6 or dash 8 fuel lines and a Greddy fuel rail.

I have no clue what lambda or fuel pressure are at. I will be keen to find out next week.

I also intend to change the inline fuel filters to something with better flow.

What are you guys using for the E85?

No probs mate, I love the stuff, the more the word gets out the closer we are to getting it more available

I'm just useing genuine nissan filters, when i run the extra line ill just use 2 of them, will be trying a 300zx filter next since they are larger, see how that goes!

If they keep blocking ill change to a washable filter.

I've tried a few different afr's and .85 seems to be a good middle range, takes alot more fuel to get it to .80

the afr in the above graph was just a quick tune, havn't had time to fix it up yet, just stuck it on the dyno to compare it against my wideband

Got a call from my mate this weekend. He's been running E85 in his 180SX and intended to go for a drive back to the Riverland (SA) for the weekend. Went to get E85 from EFFUE at Mawson Lakes only to be told that they had none! If this keeps happening then E85 is not going to be a realistic option in SA. Very annoying.

Fortunately we still had the tune we did for 98 (he's running Z32 AFM + 740's) so I set him up with a multiple map board and now he can switch between the two. Not quite "flex-fuel" but at least it'll get him out of a bind. Gotta make sure he empties one fuel type before filling with the other that's all...

I called United Petroleum and spoke to the NSW Manager. He told me that Rozelle is the only place in Sydney that sells it and that there were no plans to sell it anywhere else in the next 6 months.

Besides United at Rozelle, are there any other places that sell it in Sydney or is only available through them?

This put me off as I cannot see myself going to Rozelle everytime I need to fill up, especially as it is a weekend car that barely gets driven. Perhaps I should get another 20 litre drum and stock up... I wouldn't mind an extra 20-30rwk!!!!

BTW guilt toy I saw you at WSID on Friday night - how did you go, did you run?

Yeah mate, should have come say hello.. Look here

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gu...66#entry4504666

results there :) (was not running e85, i cannot get enough power with it with my 740cc injectors so i am back on pump gas)

Next time I will!

Well done on the time, that is awesome.

When you say cannot get enough power, do you mean the 740cc injectors wont let you make the power as they are too small? What power you making current set-up e85 vs 98 pump? Sorry if it is in the previous page, cant be arsed reading it all again!

meaning injectors have run out of puff....

so you gonna get bigger injectors yet ant? or still the smaller turbo?

yeah 740cc is not big enough to make 380kw at wheels on e85 like i could get with pump gas.

So yeah. i am not upgrading injectors. no way. but i will chuck on the smaller turbo later on and then go back to e85. anything over 350rwkw on the street is a waste anyway. i just want to run my 10 on pump first.

sweet... do you have enough balls in the rest of your fuel sys to handle 400 on e85?

would be nice to see you crack it if you ever decide to upgrade injectors.... i mean there's gotta be someone you could swap with for a small cash advancement....

    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
    • Funny, but really not funny. Thank god (most) f the world has moved on since then
    • Lots of votes for driving onto a plank first; that is the quickest way I've found, 25mm is enough for my case but that will vary by car It also depends where you are going for. On the 32 I can get to the rear diff with my floor jack if I do that end first, and get it up on stands. Then I lift the front from either front tow hook as high as needed, also onto stands. Sometimes I need a small lift on the other tow hook to get it level enough If I do the front first I can't get to the rear diff because of the angle of the car Other options are getting to the front mount of the rear subframe from in front of the wheel (if only lifting one side, or just do both which is a bit of a pain compared to one lift from the diff), or also the gearbox cross member mount on the driver's side if you are  just trying to lift the driver's side. I This is the jack I use; it says 75mm clearance but of course that is only on the lower section so if you have to reach too far in like the diff you still get stuck. https://www.snapon-bluepoint.com.sg/category/Floor-Jacks/product/Floor-Jack,-2-Ton-Low-Profile
    • On the bright side, the weather will turn much nicer for working outside shortly....sounds like you might need to start on a neighbour's garden next
