Fatal S14 Accident

SPEED is being blamed for causing a crash which claimed the life of a 27-year-old Carine man overnight.

The driver, who was the only person in the Nissan Skyline, lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree on West Coast Hwy in Trigg at about 10pm.

Police say the impact ripped the tree out of the ground.

The driver died at the scene.

Police say speed was a factor in the crash.
