As its summer now, my laptop bag is a bit big and clunky so I changed to the thin fabric autosalon one as its heaps lighter and smaller.

So I was the train home (packed) and just listening to my ipod. I was using the autosalon carry bag (laptop style ones) to carry my laptop.

The bag decides to give way and the laptop hits the deck in the train. I yell out f**k not realising i had my ipod on full blast and my f**k was pretty loud.

Everyone on the train just looks and me and Im thinking to myself - like ahhh perhaps i should have used my inner voice - and said sorry to everyone.

Oops!

was pretty funny, most people laughed & the laptop still works

ahaha at least the laptop is alright mate! could of been alot worse than just a loud f**k! :)

I have a similar story, was catching the normal train to work, and i had a bottle of milk in my bag.. and the lid somehow gave way and was slowly leaking over the whole 40 min train ride into the city :santa:

only realized at flagstaff station when i needed 2 get off.. there was milk all over the train floor, under the seats and my bag and work shirt was absolutely soaked in milk :P:O:(

I just got my bag and bolted hoping i went undeteced

very embarrassing!

Well at least your laptop is working ok Paul..

I had a simular situation...was at school and listening to my iriver mp3 player and a mate was talking to me and said something about my shirt...from memory I think he said that I should had got in a smaller size...my response was "If I got any smaller, I'll f**king tear it apart" but I said it very loudly (not realising) where the whole class stopped and looked at me...

Mate just laughed and I had to my MP3 player taken off me for the rest of the day..

when a mate raises it up with me...we always have a laugh about it

A little similar.... Coming back from Mexico I was standing in LA airport checking my bags in for the flight back to Oz. A young asian guy rushed past and knocked my backpack off my shoulder. No biggy, only jumpers and books in there. I get on the plane and about half an hour into the flight, people around me start getting angsty about this metho-like smell. It took me a while... but I eventually figured out the smell was coming from my bag! I'd completely forgotten that I had a bottle of top notch Carallejo Tequilla in there

So not much I could do, 13.5 hrs on a plane with passengers all getting spewy because of the fumes and thinking the plane was going to fall outta the sky haha. They didn't ever figure out what it was, shame about the tequilla though

Oh god... ...another iPod/train incident...

Back when I was working at Dodo I had a similar laptop bag... ...Running flat out to the train with my iPod on and laptop bag strap diagonally across my body... ...I didn't hear the beep beep of the doors closing... ...and I leapt through the gap...

But sadly for me my bag didn't make it all the way through with me...

And I ended up upside down against the opposite doors...

Some kid said something like "woah, that was cool"... ...I was lucky he grabbed the strap to my back... ...Pulled it in at the next station...

    • This sounds like a perfect excuse to install a Haltech R3.
    • I do believe from context he is talking about a S0/S1 R33 RB25 with associated ECU and Wiring for that, and a manual gearbox into a R34 N/A Auto. I don't have the knowledge of all the pinouts and such but my gut feeling from doing my own conversion is to use as much of the R33 stuff that you can. The "car" wiring is quite seperate from the "Engine" wiring when all things are considered. The only things to truly consider 99% of the time is the cluster, reverse lights and potentially disabling the 'not in P/N' immobilizer circuit.
    • A realistic expectattion of how long it has to last also comes down to.... when do you think you will be banned from registering and driving old petrol powered shitters? It's 27 years since that thing was built. It probably rusted out 15 years ago. It was probably repaired and looked OK for another 10. If you do a similarish bodge job now, or perhaps slightly better with some actual rust conversion and glassing, then.... get another 10-15 years out of it, after which you'll only be permitted by the CCP to drive electric cars manufactured in their Shenzen zone anyway.
    • Let me assume that the concern over a manual ECU is that the NeoDET that you have was an auto and has an auto ECU. That ECU will not be a problem, but you WILL have to Nistune it. And you would have to Nistune it even if you had a manual ECU, because the turbo ECUs will shit the bed if they do not have all the things that they were told they have to have, to be happy. The big one being the TCS CU, which you won't have in your car. Anyway, with an auto ECU (which I have running my originally auto NeoDET in an R32) Nistune allows you to put in a Stagea image which doesn't panic about the absent TCS, and allows you to override a whle bunch of other annoyances that would otherwise see the check engine light on 100% of the time. Also, you can't wind up the power very far on the stock NeoDET ECUs without Nistune, because the boost sensor gets in the way. Nistune allows you to push that problem much further up the dial. Do you even have the boost sensor with the engine? Without it, you are SOL and will need an aftermarket ECU (or to find a sensor somewhere, god knows where). I can't tell you what the wiring loom differences are in a 34. But what Duncan said above needs to be considered. When you say "loom", does that include the transmission loom? Because you will need to swap out the auto tranny loom for the equivalent manual loom, and get rid of the neutral/park start interlock (basically hot wire it).
    • I have had the r3c in for years now, maybe close to 7 years and it has never missed a beat, anyone can drive it. Super easy to drive around town, the hotter it gets does get a little hard but it holds the power easy as
