I wonder if the Real Estate system will change, given the need for overseas workers? Maybe its just a matter of the employers organising it for the employees. Though, this does not help those people who arrive, and then look for work.

When I first looked for an apartment I had some troubles and it took about 3 or 4 vists to different estate agents before I found one that would rent to me.

I moved again last year and was lucky. Found a very nice sized apartment and I was able to rent it. The real estate company rang up the owner and asked if would be alright. And it was no problems.

From my experiences most real estate agencies are full of rude racist arseholes. Ive also found that if you work for an english conversation school you have even less of a chance renting. I have always been asked if I work for one. When I told the last real estate company I didnt he said I was lucky... as they are seen as a not so stable form of employment ..... dont know why hehe

Akeen....dont get me started on the rascism in this flamin mongrelry!! But your right, real estate is where its worst!! My last experience was with getting a new car park!! There were 2 ..one across the road (ideall) and the other 50 metres up the road. The one across the road was all sweet untill the co. rang back saying the old bugger owner doesnt want to lease to a foreign heathen. I said I'll pay 6 months cash up fron but to no evail. I talked to a jap friend of mine who happens to be pretty solid yakuza and he said he would sort it..I rand the company and said if the old fella was that rascsit and didnt want a foreign devil well that was sweet, the car park up the road would take my yen..2 days later I got phone call from the racist owner saying he was sorry and he would be more than happy for me to park my car on his land, actually he went as far as it would be an honour.

I was a bit bamboozled by his change of attitude but it didnt click until the company that rented the space for the old bloke came to my house explained that my friend had come to their office, demanded the old fellas address and had gone to see to him to ...subtley persuade him I would be a honour for me to park my gtr on his land and it would be in his best interest if he did so..

For the amount of times of predjudice and crap that I have gone thru in this country it was a great satisfaction to finally get a win...the crazy thing is that all the other people that park their cars there love me because I snow clear the place..They bring me cakes, wine, sweets and invite me to their bbq's ....

i offerd a cash bribe to the receptionist to "lose" the other applications

that is how bad it is up here in bris:(

I didn't know brisbane was a prefecture of japan and that they too are prejudiced against non japanese tenants. bummer.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
