Hi Everyone!!

For the last 2 years, the SA car scene has come together to celebrate Christmas with a cruise.

This year will be no different.

HARDTUNED.NET CHRISTMAS CRUISE

Date: Friday, 12th December 2008

Meet: ETSA Park carpark on Railway Tce, Mile End

Time: 8:30pm

PRIZES

Hardtuned.net will be giving away a bottle of Castrol oil to the following:-

"Best Paint" - nice, shiny paint that has been well looked after - Judged by Johnny JSPEC

"Best Wheels" - good fitment and suits the car well - Judged by Benny Mack

"Toughest Street Car" - explains itself - Judged by Nicko

"Overall" - includes those cars on permits - Judged by

There will also be Castrol gift bags handed out.

CHARITY

Being Christmas time, we want to remember those families who are less fortunate. Again this year, we'll be accepting soft toys or gold coin donations from members who have the money or want to contribute - its not compulsory.

ALL items/money raised will be give to The Playford Salvation Army.

The Salvos will then pass on our gifts directly to families who come to the centre for food and gifts.

Those of us with Christmas hats will be handing out maps and collecting donations.

As per usual, police will be notified of the cruise. They are quite cooperative and only target those that are doing the wrong thing (speeding, spinning the wheels etc).

check the ns.com site under sa events for updates and more info cheers

i guess the more the merrier tis the season after all

Turn out was great but the "cruise" was pretty short and uninteresting - out the carpark, up the freeway, into another carpark. Highlights of the cruise would be tunnels and the part where everyone was all over the place being lost. But I guess the route couldnt be helped with the rain restricting where it would be safe for a whole carpark packed full of cars to drive.

good cruise was in me mates lil red rolla, saw heslo but not the owner :)

the cruise was made that way on purpose, it was said that most ppl know other routes to the carpark so each to their own really, was good to see a few familiar faces, now time for me to get another rb under my belt :)

    • The price isn't the issue, it's how hard my fuel pump is to remove now. I fabricated a custom bracket so my pump sits on the very bottom of the tank (I ran the tank down to 5L remaining to test it, works well). But it is a fkn NIGHTMARE to get the pump down into the tank now =/ words can't describe how much I hate fighting with the fuel pump/hanger now. The other issue is reliability, I'm driving down for WTA in a couple of months, I'd be less then impressed if I was half way to Sydney from Brisbane and my pump fails again =/ The other issue I had was my car battery was slowly failing, with low battery voltage my fuel pump couldn't keep up with what the reg was asking from it. I've replaced the battery and my fuel pressure is back to being perfect.  As for the low voltage situation that killed my previous battery, I've got a 150amp alternator sitting on my desk waiting to go in. Fingers crossed that will sort that issue.
    • OK so I just bidded $500 on an R33 GTS4 that no one seems to want. Waiting on a call from the agent to see if I won. 32 GTS4 is for sale. I can't deal with the temptation to mod it.
    • Might be there for work later in the year. Wouldn't mind catching up with you fellas - can't have too many beers, but will consume copious amounts of takoyaki while executing an asian squat on the side of the road while you blokes sort out your hangovers.
    • I know one example is a anecdote not data, but I'm running the same Aeroflow 525 at full voltage through a regular relay, and while I've had other fuel problems including melting the factory fuel hat, the pump itself has been fine for years. Of course, they aren't *that* expensive these days, you could swap in a new one and see if the issue is resolve. I think you had a previous thread about fuel problems, have you been monitoring and logging fuel pressure? Is there anything voltage related (for example does the voltage go up when the pressure goes down)
    • Slap a 460L into the car, send its mum.
