mind_riot
Hey guys, the skyline has been off the road for a while (6mths) and now wont start. Battery was flat and not looking like holding charge, but has now been replaced. Car is cranking over but not really looking like starting. I've made a visual inspection of all the fuses (they all look fine), but other than that I'm not really sure what to check. I'm guessing the fuel would be well and truly stale by now, but surely the car would still start? Failing any tips to get that car started, can anyone recommend a decent mobile mechanic (adelaide area) lol. Im not shure how technical you are, but the first thing I would have checked when a car is turning but nothing happens, is: 1. Check that you have fuel pressure Different engines has different ways of checking this.... 2. Check that you have a spark. Normaly you could take the plug out and hold it against metal, and turn the ignition, and a spak should apair. But remember to eather disconect fuel line or disconect all sparkplugs. And if you have all of this, it should start, and it may be bad fuel or timing is way of or something like that. blind_elk
It's a new battery? You need fuel, spark, air, compression. Do you have all these things? (there are dozens of similar threads on the same problem, if you need more info) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/248611-help-r33-wont-start/#findComment-4313925 Share on other sites

Turned out to be my CAS giving me a hazzle, changed that and the problem i slong gone Other then that, as stated, check spark (I'd start with that) and then fuel, maybe a fuelfilter change or the pump gone bad? Cheers! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/248611-help-r33-wont-start/#findComment-4317046 Share on other sites
