Nah not him.

I witnessed the crash, it was the most horrific thing i've ever seen in my life. No one walked in front of him, he came flying over the bump in the middle of hepburn/wanneroo intersection and completely lost it. He literally flew over the median strip and hit 2 cars and i was behind them...

I don't know that intersection, as I live SoR, but if this quote is right... then I guess it's the same kinda accident that happened over High Rd in Riverton. Where a car load of kids died in a BMW when they lost it from going too fast over a bump and hit a tree.

Like those bump/dips in the road that, if you go over at a decent speed, they make your guts feel weird...

like that road that runs around the back of Lake Herdsman - Powis Street turns into it, Haydon Bunton drive or something, any more than 80 kays on there and you almost go airborne.

Although I have not been past there in a few weeks, I do not recall that intersection being that lumpy. Nothing like wanneroo road and green street, that one is psycho if you come from walcott and cross wanneroo into green street

Jon Sanders Drive?

Man that road has been fked for a long time. I had to use that road for 3 years... :(

Just the comments on the story from PerthNow site.

Not surprisingly many people are pulling their keyboard warrior attitude & blaming P-platers & high performance cars

again... :(

I know makes me angry cos I'm on P Plates :(

I didn't kill anyone except for a pole... and my bunky was commiting suicide anyway so wasnt' my fault *hmph* lol

Of course, there's no specific details of the accident, at present it's hearsay and already people jump on the hoon/p plate wagon i'm making a comment on there now

Everyone on that site will blame High peformance cars and p platers, not all p-platers are tossers tho and on that news one it dosent actually say he was a p plater.

Doesn't look like my comment is going to get posted :( I went on a mini-rant about everyone jumping on the "hoon hating" bandwagon when it was actually our shitty road conditions that appear to be the major contributing factor.

I know the intersection, it's dodgy as. I've gotten air through there heading east at only 60kph.. scary shit!

Simon (R32-GTS) smashed a hole in his sump on the same bump.. lucky the workshop is only 100m away lol

heys guys,

my dad rang me about the accident this morning. My olds live in Kalgoorlie now and dad was in perth and saw it all from a little distance. He said the "silver 4 door skyline" overtook him alitle way back but just in traffic not speeding and then in the distance the car swerved and hit sumthing and it launched the car over the medium strip and it was all she wrote really. Worst thing is dad mentioned a large S sticker on the left rear window of the car with two letters underneath it. Heart sorta sank abit then cause mentioning that when he doesnt even know who SAU is is scary. Then made me think the sticker is prolly very common on cars and may not be a member of the forums.

Either way RIP :( doesnt look like it was speeding or hooning or anything, just bad luck but im sure there will be pollies whinging about hoons over it

    • (it is a brand new ported mellings pump) I suspect the lack of pressure is due to the leak. It was *not* that low in other logs of oil pressure in the past. It wasn't that hot either, but not far off.
    • Would a Mellings oil pump be a viable option  From my time with a LS, and talking to tuners and LS specialists, the "weak" OEM oil pump is one of the first things they recommend to swap out if I was going to give the engine any high RPM I opted for a Mellings high volume, with the high pressure springs and I never had a issue with it Cost wise they are not expensive in the scheme of things
    • Just bought a 2002 Stagea 250tRS VR-X Four AERO VQ25DET and spent the last two weekends cleaning and detailing it.. still have to do the wheels and the engine bay but the rest of it came up nice. Imported 2011 to S.A. and I'm the third owner since it was imported. I met the guy who brought it over, he went to Japan and picked out the car, bought it and ordered the wheels. He also gave me a list of stuff he did to the car with receipts. Coil overs (I have the original springs), 3" exhaust from the dump pipe back no cat, Custom dump pipe,(I have the original exhaust), Plenum spacer, 18" custom Work XSA wheels (need restoring, I've made a start..), Shift kit put through the 5 speed tiptronic auto, TV and menus/screens changed to english, Australian DTV tuner installed in rear. I've just had four new discs and new pads as well as all the fluids including the brake fluid replaced. I have all the receipts for the last 15 years and the import papers in a nice folder. Car looks great, goes like hell but fuel economy is not a thing lol.. pics next..
    • I ended up in this rut again lol, and used a shit ton of filler. One thing I can't understand is, even after using a big long block and going in long X pattern strokes, I always end up at bare metal again with no filler, and my repair started at one end of the door and now I've chased my tail to almost the other end of the door. I was thinking of hitting the panel with a hammer where it might be a high spot and making everything low then filling it, I did this on a small section on my other door by mistake and I think I fixed it lol. Is this a bad idea? The other thing is with guidecoat, whether it's the powder or spray, after I sand all the guide coat off, it doesn't reveal anything for me in terms of high spots and low spots and makes it especially hard when it's bare metal (at least in powdered form), am I doing something wrong here, or likely a high spot I keep going over and creating valleys? Lastly, stupid question but, is it possible that after sanding if I only sand over the filler area where I know to be a dent that it's impossible for me to dig into that dent? Unless there are other problems which I missed.
