you may be better getting it up on a hoist and have a welder handy as many of the dump pipes out there need a little tweeking to fit correctly. but if you know its going to fit then its not hard to attempt yourself, just do the usually exhaust things, spray a little WD40 or Inox on the bolts/nuts before removing them, and you may need to replace a gasket or two.

+1 on an easy job. and yeah let the car cool down for a few hours AT LEAST after you have driven it.

just make sure you line everything up before you completely tighten the bolt/nuts up because youll just have to go loosen it again when it doesnt quite line up :P

nice one mate...should sound pretty sweet.

c if u can post up a vid so we can hear how loud/quiet it is once its installed.

Its easy. Need an allen key for bellmouth bolts and an extra jack to hold the cat back section up. I could not get one of the allen head bolts in. It needed a bit ground off the head. It took about three hours, with stops for liquid sustenence.

I managed to do mine with one car ramp - drove the car up on the front passenger side wheel, chocked up the rears and worked from there. Safer than using a jack with stands.

Bellmouth dumps are a snore to install, just make sure you've got plenty of arm stamina, a good ratchet set, grease, WD40 and good eyesight for lining everything up. When I was mating the dump to the cat I used bricks to take the weight of the cat-back section. :D

Did you get all the bolts in?

Just did a split-dump install on my series 2. I found it easiest to unbolt the dump pipe flange at the cat' and remove the turbo and dump as one unit... but that was because I was changing the turbo at the same time :) It was then pretty easy to bolt the dump to the turbo out of the car, and carefully re-insert the turbo & dump assembly from the engine bay.

Cat ended up angled down ever so SLIGHTLY and wouldn't quite mate with the first flange on the cat-back exhaust (at least not without putting more force on the dump to keep it straight than I was comfortable with). So I had an exhaust place make up a mild 3" cat-back system with mandrel bends and magnaflow oval mufflers  Very nice but very drony... loudest at 2k then it gets quieter???!

i did mine yesterday..... made me a little angry by the end of it but it was ok... start by getting rid of the heat sheild and drowning the bolts in inox... while there soaking take the cat out/off from the dump... slowly crack the bolts on the turbo... i was told to be carful as there obviously guna be fairly heat f**ked from there hard life.... i had trouble getting the 2 middle bolts in... theres like a rectangle shape that forms the bell mouth... and the 2 middle ones didnt go in very far on mine.. all in all i didnt notice alot of difference from having the 3" decat back, to adding the dump but ahwell

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
