Sunday weather update - dry race expected

Chinese flag and F1 flag. Formula One World Championship, Rd 3, Chinese Grand Prix, Preparations, Shanghai, China, Thursday, 16 April 2009

Welcome to race day for the third round of the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship, the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai International Circuit.

It will be partially cloudy once again with an ambient temperature high of 22 degrees Celsius. There is a likelihood of some rain around lunchtime, but it should have dried up by the start of the race.

The race will run over 56 laps of the 5.451 kilometre (3.387 mile) track, or 305.066 kilometres (189.568 miles). It will start at 1500 hours local time, which is eight hours ahead of GMT.

Its wet. Awesome work by the top 3 to go the low fuel to try and do a dash from the front while the heavier cars play in the back with the spray.

So hope Webber can get it off the line and beat Vettel to the ends of the first lap. This has to be his best chance of a win to date, wet weather with predictions that it will be drying. A team mate who if behnd wont be too agressive and a lighter Alonso.

COME ON MARK! But Vettel is a strong chance of doing a Monza, a controlled drive from the front while the rest are fighting for boiled lollies

So happy, as an RBR fan couldnt ask for a better result as both drivers were top shelf in tough conditions. Webber was just a little too slow on his in and out laps and strangely pitted before Vettel, which i guess was a pit wall call. But Webber drove almsot as good a race as Vettel, which was faultless so

Stuff coming hom for early May for a break or doing the Burger Ring like i planned, i am booking my tickets to the Spanish GP :(

Awesome result for Red Bull! Best race in ages!!!!

I'm a bit confused as to why they pitted Webber before Vettel though! Not favouring the young whippersnapper yet surely? LOL

I just kept laughing at Lewy spinning round every 3rd lap. Lol top effort

    • Hey all, a little help from the Stagea hive mind plz.. I'm days away from buying either a 2002 Stagea 250tRS AR-X Four, premium leather, power seats and all the old switches etc that go with it, or a 2002 Stagea 250tRS VR-X Four AERO, pov pack, cloth seats etc, with coil overs, sports zorst, comes with original zorst and suspension and parts. (I think I've got the models right?) Both are VQ25DET, have 160000kms, both straight no rust both with $2000+ in recent servicing receipts, both ride on aftermarket 18" rims. The Aero has a replaced turbo as well. I like the cool factor of the Aero car but the AR-X has never been modified. Neither have been driven hardly at all in the last 5 years. Any thoughts on which one or does it come down to personal preference? davemoto
    • Please let me know if anyone has seen my black Nissan Skyline 350GT-8 taken from Robe Terrace, Medindie, SA suspect taken between end of March to early April 2025! Have called impound yards & tow truck operators, no where to be found while I was away overseas! Plates DXPRS1 custom dark green on yellow back. Has a rear lip boot spoiler on the back as well.
    • A few interesting adventures it seems...
