Does anybody know if they make front lips for 34GTT's? eg.. something like the 34 GTR lip.

Thanks

Matty

Yes , they do, looks similar to the lower black R34 GTR one with two little vents, looking for one for my car as well but local and cheap or Im going to make a mold to fiberglass one up.

two kinds available here

The Nismo one looks like this one, these photos give you an idea of the GTT with the full GTR kit

pretty sure C-west makes a Carbon fiber one, but if I remember right it has Canards attached to the ends ? not sure if Canards are legal to run, since they're kinda sharp for peds , but don't plan on hitting one anytime soon..lol

if I make one it will have the diffuser part too .like this one

this guy in the UK has Carbon goodies for our cars , as you can see from the photos , the wall has a front lip for sale

maybe I should get busy making a mold for one? but I'm not 100% sure my front bar has the same arc as the one the older R34 has? be curious to trial fit the mold or a template on one of the older cars to see?. might keep me busy making a bunch of them....lol

hell maybe if I find a cheap place to get carbon fiber in town I'd make some out of that?, Anyone know of a place that sells it cheap? save me the time to call a hundred places..lol ?

i have a nismo bar that you are quite welcome to test one on! maybe make a fibreglass lip and carbon fibre coat it?

thanks damo, I might cut some cardboard out to test it on a few R34 cars to see if the arc to the fender is the same before making molds for mine , be nice if it fit any other years or front ends ? the model year Aug 2000-2001 uses a lot different front bar. hence the series 2 GTT plus a few other goodies too.

and your right the fiberglass backing with a pretty layer of carbon on the front part. nice!!!! then i would need some side skirts and a rear under car pan to match and a carbon wing....lol then it would match the carbon dash parts i have...

thanks damo, PSI has pretty decent prices, but the lip I was making is actually a complete multi piece undertray vented to the radiator and real brake cooling vents, oil cooler vents.

but hey if I can get a decent lip already built then add the rest afterwards on thats cool too. save me lots of time

so many projects , so little time ..lol

they don't sell eastbear ... not that I can see anyway. The only place I'm aware of is powerplayimports but they have no stock of the R34 GTT front lips.

One thing I just found out today is that the eastbear 'prior term bumper lip' is actually FIBRE GLASS ... it's not plastic like the same lip made for the eastbear GTS-R front bumper. Who the hell wants a FRP lip that's going to scrape and crack in no time. I always wanted the eastbear lip because I thought it was made from plastic

The one I want (and thought it was plastic, but it's not): http://www.nengun.com/east-bear/front-spoi...ior-term-bumper

and this is the one they make in plastic but it only fits the eastbear front bumper: http://www.nengun.com/east-bear/front-spoiler-r34-type-1

fiberglass too weak for a lower lip ????, I had a much lower front bar on my RX7 for 11 years, the only time I needed to fix it was after hitting the remnants of a frozen deer carcass at 80mph on a dark night. even then it only cracked a corner of it.

if you know how to drive your car and drive knowing how low and what angle to drive out of car parks at, you wont have problems .

plastic ones would tear if they hit things, look at the ones on OEM cars, they tear when they hit parking blocks. but if you cant drive good dont bother with front lips you will tear them off your car.quickly

and if you guys want one coated with carbon , carbon doesnt like pin point impacts, it tends to shatter the clear gel coat on it if you hit a parking block or something like a rock off a truck?. a bit brittle but strong and light. and a pure carbon lip is expensive to make, at least 300.00 in black carbon alone.

I located some carbon fiber, kevlar, aramid heat proof glass fibers and I can get it in a vast array of colours and thread counts (photos coming soon of colours). so maybe in a few weeks time permitting ,I can see what I can create that wont cost a boat load to reproduce. going to make a few other parts in carbon too, battery boxes, airboxes, coat inside dash parts, and air panels between headlights and radiator. engine fuse box cover , RB25 coil cover and rocker covers in carbon, and neo engine cover in carbon, and new pedistal mounts for my wing , taller ones in carbon if anyone might be interested? dont flood me with orders yet..lol

can someone with a lowered R34 GTR or GTT with lip, measure the distance from the ground to the lip on the front bar? and the distance from the top of the front lip to the bottom of the lip , just for reference since I dont have access to a real one? and only can guess how low to make it ?

the lip i make will replace the factory front plastic under tray, and have functional brake cooling ducts, ducted cooling to the radiator/ fmic and drain holes for water to excape etc. my tray is missing already so not an issue.lol and have a rubber or teflon strip hidden under the front bottom to keep scrape thinning minimized

cheers

Yeh thats the one, my bad.

you must have had some really good fibre glass front bar then because most of the fg bars I see nowadays are so thin and brittle incl. my rear bar, it wouldn't take much of an impact to shatter them into a million pieces.

I'm sure the eastbear item is as good as fibreglass stuff goes but I still can't see how it's the best solution for something like a lower lip that's guaranteed to scrape and get hit on parking blocks, driveways etc

There must be a reason why the lip they made for the eastbear frontbars is made out of plastic.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
