Just a quick question, is it possible to fit injectors for an r33 rb25det/rb26dett into my neo using the hks fuel rail? or must I use injectors that only suit my rb25 neo engine?

As the sponsor i bought the HKS fuel rail from, said that i can use topfeed injectors from a GTR 33 into my r34 rb25det NEO. Other people i have asked said that it is not possible, however this sponsor is pretty reputable so i am stumped.

Hi dude,

R33 RB25DET injectors and RB26DETT are not the same, the RB25"s are SIDE FEED 370cc items and the RB26 Injectors are TOP FEED 444cc

if you get a hks rail you may be able to use the RB26 items but not the RB25's.

hope this helps

I thought it was possible to use GTR top feeds with the NEO as long as you did have and aftermarket rail and some spacers...the injector length differs that's for sure, can't remember how the o-rings measured up in comparison.

I used to talk to a guy in Greece that was running 440 GTR injectors in his Neo and he claimed it was just a matter of changing the fuel rail. Personally I wouldn't bother with all the hassle and just run aftermarket NEO injectors, I doubt you'll see the limits of the factory rail.

okay thanks guys, well the problem is that i had already bought the rail, as the sponsor had told me i was able to fit any aftermarket gtr injectors with them.

As I already have gtr injectors spare and i thought that it would be much easier to do and less costly.

Anyone out there can confirm??

Neo's have top feed injectors, unlike regular 25's.

i think VPW in vic have injectors to suit that combo, siemens brands from memory.

do you have a website for that company.. or is it the motorbike company? the injectors to suit Harley Davidson?

injectors for a neo is easy as piss and wont cost a fortune. no need to change rails either. Just get some siemens deka's in either 60 or 80lb in 3/4 length and then bolt them straight in. you can even use the full length ones also (more common and cheaper) but you need to space the fuel rail up by 12mm, again not hard.

I just bought a set of 80lb injectors for $380 delivered. flow matched also.

You can use aftermarket neo injectors with the rb26 fuel rail with some spacers made to the correct length

Since rb26 injectors and neo injectors are both top feed

are they the same impendance?

Being as they are both top feed does that mean they interchangeable, eg can I use GTR injectors in a RB25DET NEO fuel rail?

Obviously I would need the resistor pack to suit.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
