Just rang Enffue at Mawson Lakes, the guy there told me E85 is not allowed to be sold anywhere at the bowser in Australia.........Not good news at all

It seems to be only SA that's affected.

United servos in Vic and NSW are still sellig it.

Welcome to Adelaide!!!

I wonder if its due to the pumps inability to correctly measure the amount of fuel.

Apparently an issue interstate a little while back and sale there was also halted for a bit.

Ahh well better use the E85 thats left in the tank and pick up a water injection kit if its never coming back.

gotta feel sorry for the poor bastards using it,...

would love to hear the reason behind it

There was some talk (at the time SAFF was beeing taken over by another company) that the new owners would drop E85 since it wasn't profitable.

I guess it would be smarter to come up with a bogus reason (ie. blame the government for stopping the sale of E85) rather than take the abuse of all the customers that spent their money to have their cars converted to E85.

Vic and NSW still have E85 and over there it was always 20c cheaper than here.

$1.70 per litre last week when i was there, and a better price for reasonable amount, also its a 98 blend, other option that i went for was to get it from race fuels in vic, it's blended with ultimate 98 and is marked up "race spec"

$1.70 is a bit better.

Please tell more.

What is a 'reasonable' amount?

How do they distribute it?

Thanks

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
